Oh, and it's not an easy job to compete with his own sons, but it seems David Beckham is trying his best. True, in vain: now the former footballer is losing ground somewhat. The proof is the recently released prestigious ranking of Britain's most stylish gentlemen, in which David is seriously inferior to his eldest son.
18-year-old Brooklyn Beckham made his debut immediately in the top ten - he is in ninth place. "He continues his father's excellent work in the next generation of menswear," the editorial office notes. By the way, such masters of style as Giorgio Armani, Christopher Bailey, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors and Paul Smith took part in compiling the list.
David, who took 13th place last year, was only 28th this time. And yet, fashion commentators admit: "The main maverick in British men's fashion is still in the active game and is definitely giving good advice to his son Brooklyn."
The leader of the rating this year was the actor Matt Smith, the star of the television series Doctor Who. Also on the list were Jeff Goldblum (3rd), boxer Conor McGregor (11th), and Brooklyn's buddies Travis Scott (13th) and Rocco Richie (21st).
By the way, Beckham's father and sons do not hide their comic rivalry. David often teases his eldest son, talking about how he borrows his costumes, and laughs at the fact that Brooklyn has fewer followers on Instagram (dad-Beckham has 41 million followers, Brooklyn has 10.5 million). 18-year-old Beckham is also not averse to "trolling" a parent: for example, a couple of years ago he recorded a video with the hashtag "Is my dad cooler than me?" ("Is my dad cooler than me?").
