The Duke of Cambridge is second in line to the British throne after Prince Charles, and the Queen spent a lot of time preparing her grandson for a responsible mission. Nevertheless, one hobby of Wilm causes the displeasure of the grandmother, who wants to see conscientiousness and caution in all the actions of the heir. By the way, the boy's parents wanted to wait a sufficient amount of time before informing him about the prepared fate of the future king, but the plans of Charles and Diana were destroyed by William's classmates, who well understood that they were facing the future king. An unfortunate misunderstanding, however, gave Elizabeth II the chance to begin preparing the boy for the role of monarch from an early age.

Robert Lacey, a historian who advised the creators of the TV series "Crown", is convinced that the mentoring process influenced the closeness of the august grandmother and grandson (read also: Not only the Queen, but also grandmother: Prince William and his touching attitude towards Elizabeth II). “There was always a strong bond between William and the Queen, she took a special interest in him,” the expert explains. “She took him with her to Windsor Castle, where she opened boxes of government documents and introduced him to important papers. That was William's legal education.”

It seemed to many that among the brothers Harry was more like an adventurer (read also: "I Do What I Want": Why Prince Harry always felt superior to William "). However, it was his older brother who had a truly extreme hobby - motorcycles. The monarch's disapproval of this hobby is described in the documentary "Pursuit of the Royal Family". Her Majesty considered the occupation too dangerous, while her grandson found it soothing.

“Some people are fond of bicycles, and I have always had a passion for motorcycles - ever since I was little. Earlier I was actively involved in go-karting, then I started riding ATVs and finally got to motorcycles,”said the prince. “The motorcycle helmet allows me to stay unrecognized and finally relax. But I really just enjoy everything about motorcycles and the camaraderie that comes with this culture."

Royal biographer and former correspondent for the Mirror, James Whitaker, once noted that he considered the Duke of Cambridge's fascination "strange", because Princess Diana, his mother, was constantly suffering from paparazzi chasing with a two-wheeled vehicle. “[Princess Diana] was constantly running away from the paparazzi who rode motorcycles,” Whitaker says. "And now her son uses a motorcycle for the same reasons."
