And I decided to start from afar and with the most gentle and beautiful in feature films - with actresses.

I know many actresses personally. The first to take part in the project was Inna Gomez, who advised the actresses she knew to film with me. After that, film agent Olga Loginova drew attention to my work. She offered to take photographs for Nadezhda Mikhalkova, Paulina Andreeva, Yulia Snigir and Yana Sexte. I didn't pick names. It's lucky that in my series there were actresses who received recognition from the viewer and were awarded film awards.

The project includes both black-and-white and color photographs. A black and white image cuts off all unnecessary, as graphic work snatches the very essence from everyday reality. The golden age of photography fell on b / w. Therefore, my series is a dream about a bygone era, a dream to do something worthwhile. Something to be proud of.

In staged photography, it is difficult (if not impossible) for the subject to shake off the feeling that someone is watching. Nevertheless, I hope that I have managed to look at my heroines in a new way and that the portrait gallery will enrich the images they create on the screen.
When photographing actresses, I did not think about the exhibition. My episode interested DOME co-owner Daria Donskaya. As a result, the cinema bar became the venue and the main partner of the exhibition. Nikon has kindly agreed to support this project.
