Sundresses a la rus, shirt dresses, juicy scarlet shoes, massive patterned earrings, emerald blocks with a geometric print, crocheted details - Alena re-reads folk tales. AnnaRussk met with the designer after the show of the summer collection 2013.

AnnaRusska: How was the new collection created?
Alena Akhmadulina: We took the Russian fairy tale "The Frog Princess" and took it apart bit by bit. Prints are the environment of the princess, her swamp: arrows, stumps, lingonberries, vegetation. The collection itself is divided into two color themes. Red - the color of the Russian royal costume - symbolizes the transition of the heroine from one state to another. Green - the main color of the AlenAkhmadullin fashion house - perfectly opposes red. Together they work quite cheerfully.

AnnaRusska: Do you agree that lately the woman is dominating?
Alena Akhmadulina: This happens all the time. Women with a strong character have the ability to attract the same determined people and be friends with them. So, it begins to seem to us that the whole world only consists of iron ladies. But a huge number of women remain weak. They also need to be taken care of. That's right.

AnnaRusska: Are you strong?
Alena Akhmadulina: I have so much reinforced concrete will! Sometimes I envy girls who, for example, sit at home relaxed, take care of their families, raise children. My sister, chief print artist AlenAkhmadullina, decided to leave her job - now she is babysitting at the child's home. For me, she is an ideal, because I cannot afford to break out of the process even for a few days - to stop responding to emails, to command people … Being fragile, unprotected is difficult. But I really want to transfer responsibility to a man and just contemplate how he himself creates everything in this world!
