One of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals in the world has opened in Venice. For the 71st time, many guests have gathered on the island of Lido, wishing to visit the beginning of the grand celebration and the premiere of the opening film "Birdman".
Especially on the red carpet, the stars of this tape stood out - Emma Stone and Edward Norton, who had arrived a few hours earlier for the press conference. Emma Stone chose a flying emerald gown from the latest couture collection from Valentino for the premiere of Birdman.

In just ten days, within the framework of the main competition program, twenty films will be shown, including one from Russia: this is Andrei Konchalovsky's painting "White Nights of the Postman Tryapitsyn." Also, within the framework of a special competition program VeneziClassici will demonstrate the legendary painting by Georgy Danelia "I walk around Moscow." The closing ceremony will take place on September 6, and the festival will end with a screening of the painting "The Golden Age".
The opening of the festival was not without surprises: about 2 thousand workers of municipal services of the city came to the festival palace during the passage of the stars along the red carpet. They began to whistle and unfurl posters, one of which read: "Salary cuts are worse than horror movies."
