In the photos and in the commercial, the 26-year-old model demonstrates the brand's simple and light clothes, plays with her daughter on the beach, swims in the sea, walks in the forest and meets the sunset with sparklers. Country Road, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, wrote on the website: “We are celebrating our birthday with iconic Australian model and mother Gemma Ward. Traveling along the northern beaches, we pay tribute to the quintessence of summer holidays: the sun, sand, sea, where traditions are built and memories are created."
Gemma Ward became the youngest top model by accident: she was noticed by a scout when she came to the Australian show "In Search of a Supermodel" to support her friends. After that, she made a dizzying career, but left the modeling business six years ago to devote herself to the family. Her last work in this area was an advertising campaign for Dolce & Gabban in 2008.
Shooting for Country Road is not the first step towards returning to the fashion business: Gemma Ward previously took to the podium at the Prada show. Now the model is actively acting in films: she made her debut in the film "Pink Pajamas", won the title of best Australian actress for the film "Black Ball" and starred as a singing mermaid in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."
