Back in May, it became known that Gisele Bundchen was appointed the new face of Chanel No. 5 fragrance. Just the other day, the first official shot of an advertising campaign with her participation appeared, and now a video shot by Buz Luhrmann has been released.
In it, the world's highest paid model runs down an evening New York street and then surfs in a swimsuit and a Chanel board in Sapagonac. While Giselle conquers the waves, a man in a gray suit appears on the threshold of the house and leaves a letter with the words "I must confess to you." The girl puts this letter aside, being distracted by children and work, but still cannot stand it and reads it on the set. What she learned from him makes the model run along the same evening street from which the video began and meet her destiny. The advertising campaign was named “What I want”.
In the video, none of the actors speaks, all the action takes place to the music: in the video itself, the song “You're The One That I Want” is performed by Lo-Fang, standing at the microphone in a cabaret club.
The author of The Great Gatsby, Baz Luhrmann, has previously collaborated with Chanel: in 2004, he shot Nicole Kidman to advertise Chanel No.5.
Gisele Bündchen first introduced this fragrance, previously she worked for the advertising of the Chanel's Les Beiges makeup line and went out this season on an impromptu protest march during the Chanel show.
