Alice in Wonderland at The Dorchester
Agree, Alice - the heroine of Lewis Carroll - would not be a true Englishwoman if she did not like evening tea. It is she who, for the sixth year in a row, becomes the heroine and muse of the special campaign "The Mad Hatter's Tea Party" at The Promenade restaurant, owned by The Dorchester Hotel, the flagship of the famous Dorchester Collection.
The holiday begins with the history of the book feast, embodied in the dance of the students of the English National Ballet School, dressed in the costumes of the Mad Hatter, Sonya, the March Rabbit and, of course, Alice herself. After the dance show, little guests with their parents can treat themselves to the most amazing desserts that could well appear on the pages of a book: chocolate-strawberry mini-bags, coffee hats with tonka beans, coconut-lime playing cards and other original creations of pastry chefs.
When: from October 27 to October 31, 2014. Tea is served at 13:45, 14:15, 16:15 and 16:45.
Cost: £ 55 adults (with a glass of champagne), £ 30 children (5-11 years old).

Pret-a-Porte at Berkeley
Pret-a-Porte Tea was invented here to bring an element of creativity and innovation to a classic ritual like English Tea. And, I must say, the plan was successful! A visit to the Caramel Lounge today has become as indispensable a ritual for trendsetters as shopping on New Bond Street. The Berkeley pastry chefs often go to London Fashion Week for inspiration to create their own trendy collections twice a season. Therefore, fashion guests see the latest trends on the porcelain cake rack.
However, this season you will find something very unique! For the first time in the history of Pret-a-Porte, a collection of a British fashion house will be presented - mouth-watering accessories Jimmy Choo. From October 13 to 26, 2014, exquisite cakes with blueberries, salted caramel, vanilla cookies and other sweets will be reminiscent of the stylish shoes and iconic accessories from Jimmy Choo.
Impossible to resist the magical transformation of the iconic Candy clutch into Pina Colada with coconut flakes and silver stars. The equally famous Cayl bag with a zebra print will appear in the form of a chocolate fondant with pecans and a scattering of multi-colored air meringues. For those with a sweet tooth, we prepared a delicate velvet cake with walnut praline, reminiscent of a shiny pointed shoe Gal with a bow, and a cake with salted caramel and dark Valrhon chocolate - an analogue of the Cloud clutch with pearls.
When: October 13-26, daily from 13 to 18 hours
Price: £ 41.00 or £ 51 with a glass of Laurent-Perrier champagne
