This town on the border of French Alsace and the fertile Rhine Valley in the 19th century was adored by Russian aristocrats and great classics - from Turgenev to Dostoevsky. All over Baden-Baden there are still former Russian villas. The 150-year-old Brenners Park-Hotel & Sp belongs to the Outer family, which owns the best hotels in Europe - Parisian Le Bristol, Eden Roc on the Côte d'Azur. I came there to "walk" my mother, who then did not want to leave. We really made the mistake of only arriving for a few days. You have to live in Brenners Park for at least a week, or better - more, which they do - sometimes incognito, sometimes not - heads of state, crowned persons and celebrities. Many come here to make a check-up, which is very fashionable in Europe now: a complete medical examination in an atmosphere of complete relaxation and comfort with Michelin-starred cuisine,a huge spa and park, in the center of which, in fact, the hotel is located. Baden-Baden itself is also very good - quiet, respectable, moderately provincial, moderately bourgeois, with impeccable but very sincere service, many small cafes and shops.

The Brenners Park Hotel is a former aristocratic villa.

Detox Plus
At Brenners Park-Hotel & Sp, German performance is combined with French art de vivre: a hearty breakfast is served here to the last guest. A detox diet is made up purely individually, after a thorough medical examination and several consultations with doctors and a fitness instructor, but they must include a few of your favorite dishes, cooked according to all the rules of a healthy kitchen. Also, the detox program includes at least two sessions of lymphatic drainage, a visit to the pool, sauna and steam room. If necessary, doctors prescribe thermal water - local sodium chloride sources treat diseases of the musculoskeletal system and respiratory tract, relieve stress, cleanse the body, etc.

Avenue of stars
The windows of Brenners Park-Hotel & Sp overlook the old Brenners Park, in the center of which, along the centuries-old oak trees and the unhurried river Oos, runs the endless Lichtentalska alley. Once upon a time Turgenev was feeding inspiration here (now his bust is installed on the alley), and now all year round - in Baden-Baden - a mild pleasant climate - lovers of long, but tireless walks make promenades. For those looking for more demanding activities, there are many trekking and mountain biking trails in the nearby Black Forest (the hotel can provide an instructor).

What to do in Baden-Baden
- This tiny town has 12 mineral springs. The most famous are the Baths of Caracalla with an area of 4000 sq. m and 150-year-old bathing palace "Friedrichsbad" with Roman-Irish baths, the action of which is based on a combination of hot humid steam and dry air.
- In a casino, each hall of which is a real museum, Dostoevsky once lost everything he had, describing the most colorful moments of this drama in The Gambler.
- Around Baden-Baden - medieval castles and baroque palaces, the largest waterfall in Germany, Triberg, the vineyards of Alsace, the Black Forest reserve and Lake Bodensee, whose waters wash the shores of three states. The hotel organizes excursions on the Volkswagen SAMBA retro bus.
- You can also go to neighboring France - Strasbourg is located just an hour away.
