On the evening of January 11, the 2015 Golden Globe Awards took place in Los Angeles. The statuettes have been awarded for the 72nd time for services in the field of cinema and television. The award is of great importance in the world of cinema, since the winners of the Golden Globe are traditionally considered favorites for the Oscars.
For the third time in a row, comedians Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the ceremony. Birdman received the most nominations this year. It was also known in advance that the Cecil B. DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement in Cinematography would be awarded to actor, producer, director and screenwriter George Clooney.
The main surprise of the 2015 Golden Globes was the victory of Amy Adams over Meryl Streep in the nomination for Best Comedy / Musical Actress. Adams received an award for her role in Tim Burton's Big Eyes, which started in Russia on January 8. But the defeat of Jennifer Aniston, who played her first major dramatic role in the movie "Cake" was predictable. It was perhaps impossible to beat Julianne Moore for Best Actress in a Dramatic Film this year.
Among the men, the winners were young actor Eddie Redmayne (Best Dramatic Performer) and Michael Keaton (Best Comedy Actor). The main award went to the film "Boyhood", which was not shown in the big domestic box office. But we are all waiting on the screens for the film "Leviathan" by Andrey Zvyagintsev, which received the "Golden Globe" as "The best film in a foreign language." The film will be available in theaters from February 5th.
