On the evening of February 8, the 57th Grammy Awards took place in Los Angeles. Some of the awards (about 70) have already found their owners the day before during the Premiere Ceremony, but the results in the main nominations were traditionally announced during the TV broadcast from the Staples Center.

Every year, the Grammy is awarded in 78 categories by the vote of the American Recording Academy. The most prestigious awards are the so-called "Big Four": "Record of the Year", "Album of the Year", "Song of the Year" and "Best New Artist". In 2015, Briton Sam Smith was presented in all four nominations, becoming only the third performer in the history of the award with a similar result. He managed to repeat the result of Amy Winehouse, who in 2007 took away 3 statuettes with her in four nominations. In addition to the Big Four awards, Smith also received the Best Pop Vocal Album award. Other winners of this year's ceremony were Beyoncé and Pharrell Williams, each with 3 awards.
