CLUB MED Valmorel
One of the most comfortable accommodation options in Valmorel is the new ski-in / ski-out resort owned by the French company Club Med. Alternatives
There are few large hotels in Valmorel, as well as in the neighboring villages of Doucy, Celliers, Naves and LLechere, but there are many options for more or less budget accommodation - chalet apartments, villas, family pensions, small lodge hotels - a suitable option can be booked on valmorel. com. Most of the hotels are close to the ski lifts, and you can go back on skis. Oh, Baby
You can safely go to Valmorel even with a newborn (which many Europeans, who do not want to give up their favorite hobbies after the birth of offspring, often do). Club Med Valmorel has a baby club where you can take babies from 4 months old. And in Valmorel itself and in the neighboring town of Doucy, there are two Piou Piou kindergartens (open daily from 8:45 to 17:30, tel.: +3 347 909-8445) - for kids 1.5-3 and 3-6 years old where children are fed lunch, put to bed and entertained in every possible way - in the fresh air and indoors. Alpine skiing is taught here from the age of three.

The Valmorel / Grand Domaine ski area is smaller than, for example, the Three Valleys, but beginners and intermediate skiers should enjoy it. There are 165 km of wide slopes with guaranteed snow and an altitude difference of about 1400 m, plus opportunities for off-piste skiing (for example, with a guide, you can ski to the Belleville region, being in the Three Valleys) and several large snow parks. In general, Valmorel is a huge array of practically untouched nature - dense forests, lakes, valleys covered with deep snow. The neighboring lowland area of Vallees d'Aigueblanche has over 40 km of cross-country skiing trails, and around the resort itself there are 15 km of snowshoe trails and 50 trails specially prepared for winter trekking.

How to get there
By plane to Geneva (125 km), Lyon (180 km) or Chambery (90 km), then take the TGV train to Moutiers-Salins / Brides les Bains station, located 15 km from the resort. From the Parisian Gare de Lyon to Valmorel, you can take the TGV in about five hours with a transfer at Chambery (sncf.com).
