Over the years running the fashion program, I have had many meetings with designers. Both with Russian and foreign ones. Some of them left vivid emotions and memories, and some left a bitter aftertaste of disappointment.
Perhaps the most emotional of all was the acquaintance with the style icon, designer Diane von Fürstenberg. I have always been an ardent fan of the brand: here you can always find a dress that can simultaneously emphasize the waist and emphasize the beautiful shape of the neckline. At the same time, for adequate money! In short, Diana's dress-gowns helped me out many times. In addition, I know about the legend, according to which, all girls who choose her outfits become successful and happy. Diana herself believed in this and I believed. It is not surprising that I so badly wanted to personally look into the eyes of this legendary woman who independently created her own fashion empire, abandoned her millionaire husband and defeated a terrible disease. All these vicissitudes of life did not prevent her from remaining a fragile and attractive woman.
Despite her age, she fluttered into the Moscow boutique with the grace of a wild cat, wearing high, stable heels. I immediately understood why everyone was crazy about her: from Andy Warhol to aristocrats of the highest rank. She fully lived up to the meaning of her name: the hunter. She was wearing a spectacular asymmetrical leopard dress (the same one I later bought myself to wear with high boots). Diana was equally sweet and friendly with absolutely everyone: both with the business business partners who were brought to her, and with the girls who were fans of her dresses, which I was one of.
Her phrase: "Olga, you are very beautiful, just be more confident in yourself" - I remembered forever, because it was the lack of the latter that often interfered with my life! This wish, left to me by hand, on her signature perfume became the motto of my new life. It made me think about everything and become more decisive: I broke off my relationship with my boyfriend without regret and went to the courses of the profession I had dreamed of all my life. And now I can say for sure - Diana's dresses do not give success, but they make you more attractive and you become more confident in yourself. A self-confident girl is able to conquer any peaks!

If we talk about the disappointment from personal communication with designers, then I cannot but recall the case when I was preparing for the Muz-TV 2012 award. I was in a special, very important position for a woman, but at the same time I did not want to look at this shocking ceremony trite and boring. I wanted to prove that even being pregnant, you can look attractive and desirable.
The idea for a red carpet dress came to me while watching the ballet. It remained only to find a worthy studio to implement the plan. Despite the large number of orders and tight deadlines, the designer, whose name I would not like to name now (because, as you know, black PR is also PR!), Agreed to make my dream come true. I drew a sketch myself, the fabrics were selected. The pale turquoise gauze fabric was supposed to go to the tutu, and the bodice was planned to be draped with silk of a more saturated tone.
At the last fitting, the designer was absent, the dress was almost complete, the seamstresses only had to sew on the upper fabric, which for some reason stubbornly refused to show me. When I finally saw it, it turned out that it was not at all the delicate silk that I had been waiting for! The material was too dense, and even neon green! It looked just awful. And because of its weight, the whole structure lost its airiness and emphasized the stomach.
I very much asked not to sew this light green misunderstanding and leave everything as it is. When the designer found out about this, her anger knew no bounds!
The story ended with her forbidding me to tell anyone that she was involved in creating the dress. I proudly walked along the path in my no name dress, which I did not allow to spoil for the sake of a tag with a famous surname. Now, of course, this story is remembered with a smile.
