The remake of the famous Disney cartoon "Cinderella" has not yet died out in the box office, but the corporation has already begun work on another popular love story - a feature film will be made from Beauty and the Beast. British actress Emma Watson will play the main role in it, and it will appear on the screens in March 2017.
The project for the remake of "Beauty and the Beasts" has been hatched by Disney since 2011. At the same time, for the first time, they started talking that the role of Belle in the new tape could be played by Emma Watson. However, these rumors were confirmed only at the end of January this year. In addition to the British actress, director Bill Condon and screenwriter Stephen Chbosky were involved in the work on the tape. Now the film company spoke about other members of the film crew.
The role of the villain-hunter Gaston went to the star of the movie "The Hobbit" Luke Evans. His henchman will be played by Josh Gad. Belle's father in Beauty and the Beast will be Oscar-winning Kevin Kline. British actor Dan Stevens, known for the TV series "Downton Abbey", has been approved for the role of the enchanted prince. One of the most beloved characters of the original cartoon - the enchanted teapot Mrs Potts - will be played by two-time Oscar winner Emma Thompson.
"Beauty and the Beast" will be released worldwide on March 17, 2017. Filming has already begun at Shepperton Studios in London. Like Disney's recent Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast will be a fusion of fiction and CGI.
