
Fast food is harmful, but tasty - and this is its terrible strength, which can be extremely difficult to resist. To end the eaten-or-not-eating hassle, there are five powerful ways to optimize your burger or hot dog. It is important to understand: sometimes it is enough to remove just a few harmful components or adjust the cooking method so that the dish becomes consistent with the healthiest lifestyle.
Fried eggs
This is probably one of the most dangerous ingredients in instant food. Compared to regular scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, fried eggs in fast food seem to be crisper, richer and more appetizing. But, of course, this is not easy: they are usually prepared with a lot of preservatives and flavor enhancers, and therefore they are unlikely to pass as a source of healthy protein.

So, for example, when buying a coveted burger from MacDonald's, it is better to eliminate the layer of fried eggs. Your body will be very grateful to you.
Chicken and fish
If the choice is between processed beef, chicken and fish, choose the latter two as filler. A fish fillet burger or sandwich is a great alternative to classic fast food with red meat - both in terms of satiety and health criteria.

In addition, it will not hurt to lighten your snack by depriving it of tasty sauces and seasonings: in this case, you will make the perfect escape from the cycle of detox, fasting days and diets without much disturbing your diet.
Ketchup, butter and mayonnaise
These ingredients are immediately blacklisted by any supporter of healthy lifestyle: by giving up only them, you will already make your guilty pleasure much healthier and lighter in calories. Even if the taste is not so juicy, your figure and health will thank you.

Mayonnaise is a storehouse of cholesterol, like many types of oils. Ketchup, on the other hand, does not have such a level of harmfulness (its composition is based on completely safe tomatoes). However, in its ranks there are certain varieties that contain a large number of additives and flavor enhancers. And this, of course, has a number of negative consequences, from sedation to weight problems.
Unsalted French fries
If you do not want to give up fast food, then try to at least avoid foods that are high in salt. Of course, without it, the well-known French fries will not taste so attractive, but much less harmful.

It is worth noting that fried food itself causes considerable damage to health. So, if you allow yourself it occasionally, then without artificial ingredients. And this is true not only for fries, but fast food in general.
Steamed fast food
Much of the suspicion about fast food stems from its preparation methods: what kind of oil was used in deep fat, what additional ingredients were added, how long and under what conditions a particular dish was cooked. These are very important questions (they are especially relevant when it comes to deep fried foods).

The best solution would be baked and steamed products. So the risks associated with oil, decay products during frying and everything that scares us at the sight of a fast food conveyor at the order counter in some burger immediately disappears.
