Today, everyone has heard about superfoods - avocados, chia seeds and matcha have already become household names. But it is known that in fact, almost any product rich in vitamins, trace elements and fiber can be called a superfood, and among them there are not only exotic fruits, but also products familiar to us from childhood. Daria Vasilenko, the ambassador of the Grow Food healthy food delivery service, the absolute champion in fitness bikini in Russia, talks about which superfoods will be especially popular this year.
Beet
The familiar vegetable is good not only as an ingredient for the famous "fur coat", but also as a separate product containing a lot of useful elements. Beets are extremely useful for the liver, they also contain a large amount of vitamin A, B vitamins, phosphorus, calcium and vitamin P. It is important that beets contain antioxidants that help fight toxins and keep the body young. Beets can be eaten both raw and boiled or baked, so the flight of imagination in terms of how to prepare it is not limited.

Gooseberry
It turns out that the berry, familiar to us all from childhood, is also included in the rank of superfoods. And for good reason: gooseberries contain a lot of nutrients, including antioxidant compounds, vitamin C, B vitamins, iron and other substances. All this vitamin complex helps to improve the general condition of the body, accelerate metabolism, as well as preserve the elasticity and youthfulness of the skin (read also: "9 nutritional rules after 40 years, which will prolong youth"). Therefore, it's time to remember this extremely healthy berry and try to include it in your diet.

Sardines
The meat of this sea fish is rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. It is believed that sardines are twice as healthy as white fish and herring. Sardine contains a complex of vitamins and fish oil, which not only helps to improve skin condition, but also lowers cholesterol. The fatty acids in this fish also have anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects.

Seaweed
It is believed that seaweed is superior in nutritional value to all other plant species. They contain a variety of vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, D, K, PP, and folic acid. There are dozens of edible seaweed, including spirulina, kelp, nori. They go well with fish, salads, tofu, and yogurt dressings.

Cranberry
This small berry, the taste of which is also familiar to many from childhood, contains a whole storehouse of vitamins B and C, as well as citric, oxalic, malic and pectic acids. This superfood improves the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, and also stimulates the production of gastric juice. Due to the high content of phenolic antioxidants, cranberry prevents blood clots and also strengthens the immune system.

It is very simple to introduce such superfoods into the diet: berries can be used as a snack, and vegetables and fish can be used as a full-fledged dish for lunch or dinner.
