Melon sounds great not only solo, but also in a duet - the main thing is to choose the right partner. Together with the experts of the supermarket chain BILL, we have made the perfect gastronomic pairing with melon. Hurry up to try it before the season is over!
Melon + blue cheese

This flavor combination was born in Italy, where antipasti is served before the main course - a traditional aperitif designed to awaken the appetite. Melon with gorgonzola and grapes is an antipasti classic. However, if there is no goal to delve into Italy, French Roquefort, German Dorblu, and English Saint Agur will do (read also: “Cooking Brie and Other Favorite Cheeses at Home”). And if a couple of canapes are not enough, melon and cheese can be supplemented with spinach, walnuts and yogurt - you get a light salad.
Melon + ham

The role of the leader in this pair is assigned to meat: prosciutto or jamon. The combination of melon with Parma ham is classic, but no one insists on strict adherence to the rule. Both a ham and shoulder, ribs or loin will do. The meat should be generously grated with salt and cut into thin slices when serving. By the way, figs will make good company for him and the melon: there will be no competition, and the taste will be revealed in a fundamentally new way.
Melon + seafood

Ideally, shrimp, and not boiled, but fried or baked with garlic. Plus some avocado for the "body", and an unusual salad is ready. Mussels and oysters are also suitable, but it is better to refuse from heavier delicacies: the melon is very capricious.
Melon + nuts and chocolate

For sweets - chocolate melon with nuts: walnuts, almonds or pecans. Preparing is elementary: melt a bar of dark chocolate in a water bath, mix with chopped nuts and pour into a deep bowl. And then, without waiting for the chocolate to cool, dip the melon slices in it. Enjoyment guaranteed (also read: "10 Facts About Chocolate You Will Love").
Melon + mint and ginger

Finally, drinks. A stunning refreshing cocktail, easy to make with melon paired with mint and ginger. In addition to the non-trivial taste, it will certainly delight you with an invigorating effect and will be perfect in the heat (although, it would seem, ginger is more about winter). But the melon, as already mentioned, often breaks the rules than follows them, and therefore balances the "cold" mint with the "hot" ginger well.
Melon + watermelon

Why choose when you can combine? Melon and watermelon, seasonal neighbors, do not conflict at all, but delicately support each other. Recommended both as a stand-alone dessert and on a common fruit plate. True, it is worth remembering that between the main meal and such a dessert, it is better to pause - at least for an hour. In this case, the wait will be fully rewarded.
