I came into this business quite unexpectedly for myself. I studied well, worked during my studies, received a red diploma, began to develop in corporate law and real estate. She built a career in a large commercial and industrial holding, rose to the position of the head of the legal department, was engaged in structuring large transactions, building factories. Then my classmate Sergei Aksenov, with whom we studied together at school and academy, knowing what I had already achieved, although I was not even 25 years old, offered to head the corporate practice and practice of real estate and construction in Lidings. The firm was less than a year old at the time. Then Sergei became my husband, but at that moment I strongly doubted: I already had a stable position, a good salary, an insane interest in work, I had room to grow. Literally everyone around was discouraged:close relationship with work is difficult to combine. And yet in 2007 I joined the Lidings team. I did not immediately become a partner - naturally, they tested me. We looked at how stress-resistant and active I am in my work, whether I can not only implement projects, but also attract clients, actively participate in business development … It was hard, we worked around the clock, until three in the morning - there was no talk of romantic relationships then. But I passed the test successfully and quickly became a partner.until three o'clock in the morning - there was no talk of a romantic relationship then. I think success is due to the fact that I wanted to achieve a lot in life. Although it is difficult for a woman in such a business. Especially the one that is still young enough. But the water wears away the stone. Of the major projects that particularly inspired me, I recall the deal to privatize a large land plot under a tobacco factory for Japan Tobacco International in the south of Moscow. The factory was just between our houses with Sergei, the school was not far away - for me there was something personal in this project. By the way, Sergei and I got married in 2009, but I still work at Lidings under my maiden name. A husband and wife in the same firm in the legal business sounds like nonsense. Although according to official documents, I am Aksenova. Such a split personality - but I understood that otherwise I would not survive.

In general, a woman in the legal business is initially perceived as a weaker partner - in negotiations, in knowledge, in a situation of stress. Women need to prove themselves.

And also devote time to the family - otherwise they will lose in this. For example, I consider myself a fairly successful person, but it was very difficult for me to combine “being a good wife at home and a business partner in a company.” I think I was lucky: I was initially attracted by everything related to jurisprudence, real estate, corporate law, and later practice began to take shape, recognition came, including international ratings by The Best Lawyers and Legal 500. There was tremendous interest, which led to the fact that I went further - now I not only advise the largest foreign business in Russia, but also deal with my own development projects, I invest in real estate. This is how the legal practice grew into a new business for me.

Now the society does not really believe in the power of the law. This is due to legal illiteracy. People who understand the law will answer unequivocally: with the help of the law, you can prove your case, protect yourself from claims, and minimize legal risks.

I've been in the legal business for over 12 years and I see that the dress code has changed over time. If earlier everyone wore dark strict suits, now they are the reference point for fashion trends. They use more bright colors, prints, combinations of different textures and fabrics. They are greeted by their clothes: a successful woman should be stylish. Personally, I really love dresses, shoes and beautiful bags - it seems to me that it is the accents that can create an image. Even if you are wearing a regular suit, an elegant bag and a couple of interesting details will make your day. And if you add beautiful shoes, success and self-confidence will go off scale.

And it's all about her
