Preparing skin for tone application

Preparation of the facial skin for the make-up procedure is of great importance. So, the skin should be well cleansed, toned, thoroughly defatted with lotion (we recently talked about how to cleanse the skin in summer). (By the way, note: in the summer, you need to use the scrub less often, as it contributes to the additional secretion of sebum.)

When the degree on the thermometer exceeds the average mark, try to give preference to matting bases. If the skin is combination, apply the matting base only on the T-zone, and moisturize and nourish the dry areas. In general, dry skin constantly needs good nutrition and hydration - serums, creams, masks. So, immediately before applying makeup, a nourishing sheet mask will be useful - decorative products will lay on the skin with a smoother layer. Next, you can apply a nourishing or moisturizing base.

Color primers and concealers improve skin tone and perfectly match the tone: blue and lilac make the skin visually fresher, green perfectly hide redness, pink neutralize excessive yellowness, adjusting the tone to neutral, and yellow, on the contrary, “warm” the skin tone. Most often, these funds are applied locally.

We select the perfect shade for yourself

The shade of the foundation must be checked for perfect correspondence on the border of the face and neck: if you blend a drop and the tone seems to "merge" with the skin, then it is yours. It makes no sense to apply the product to the back of your hand, as the skin tones in these two areas are different. Orientation to the natural hair color will also help with the choice: if it is coldish, for example, ashy, then products with a pinkish undertone are preferable for the skin of the face, that is, cold (it will also make the face fresher), while owners of warm hair should give preference to yellowish tonal creams.

What foundation is needed for the summer

The foundation in the summer needs to be light and elastic - to allow the skin to breathe and not to clog in pores and fine wrinkles. It's great if it has SPF protection, as well as if it contains nutritional components, vitamins A, E and C, healthy oils. Take a closer look at water-based fluids, mousses, which lay in a very thin layer, making the skin matte, but without overdrying. Mineral foundations are also good.

CC cream is designed primarily for dry skin.

By the way, in the tone for oily skin, on the contrary, there should be no oils - fluids, BB creams or matting mousses may suit you.

For dry skin, use foundations with a radiant effect, giving a delicate satin finish. Please note: the composition of the tone for such skin should not contain alcohol. Thus, BB and CC creams are great for dry skin: they combine skin toning and gentle skin care. Also use mineral powder, which likewise does not dry out the skin.

If all the mentioned light textures of foundations do not cover imperfections of the skin, it is recommended to mask them pointwise, with the help of correctors and concealers. This will eliminate the need to apply a thick layer all over your face in hot weather.

For long-lasting makeup, we advise you to use the currently common fixing sprays not only after applying makeup, but also before, on clean skin. Matting wipes are also irreplaceable in the summer - they will be incredibly useful not only for owners of oily skin.

Tip: if, after applying the foundation, you gently blot your face with an ordinary napkin (so that it absorbs the excess funds), then it will most likely not roll off. And it is desirable to fix it with loose mineral powder (the best option for the summer: it does not dry out the skin).

Foundation for mature skin

For mature skin, the rule "the less cosmetics, the better" is always relevant. Therefore, the foundation should also be very light, moisturizing and nourishing. Care for mature skin (in terms of choosing cosmetics for it) is similar to dry skin: the tone should be with SPF, include oils, UAB, hyaluronic acid, have a lifting effect and anti-aging effect. As for the approach to choosing a shade, it is better to bet on pinkish or peach undertones: they will make your face visually fresher, younger (exception: if your skin is prone to redness or rosacea is very noticeable on it). A yellowish foundation, on the other hand, can visually add age.

The tone stage on the skin with age-related changes should be completed with light loose powders, preferably of mineral origin.
