The main secret is regularity. It is difficult to talk about the minimum care program (here we mean, of course, the intervals between visits to the pedicure master): it is individual, and its volume depends on the condition of the skin of the feet. For some, a must-have is daily baths and hard work with pumice, while for some, a nourishing cream and one “cleaning” once a week is enough. The second option is definitely our dream, so we asked Clarisonic expert Anna Yezhova and Wax & Go salon on Michurinsky Yana Moon to share professional advice on how to properly care for the skin of your feet.
Step up home care
Salon procedures are indispensable if you want to maintain the perfect condition of the feet a la “just left the salon” as long as possible. Summer and open shoes play "on the side" of their beauty and health. First of all, due to the fact that the skin breathes more (even when the weather is capricious, and there is no opportunity to put on sandals every day, moccasins, ballet flats or sneakers give feet much more comfort and freedom than the "captivity" of autumn-winter leather boots).
Calluses and corns can be avoided by choosing the right shoes and / or using special protective patches.
But we must not forget that in the summer, the legs are exposed to increased exposure to wind and sun. After a particularly hot day in every sense, give them a cool bath with a scrub - it will help keep the feet soft and smooth by exfoliating rough skin particles.

After the scrub, be sure to moisturize - look for "your" foot cream and apply it before bedtime (gently massage your feet until completely absorbed and leave overnight). Do not forget about cuticle oil so that not only your heels, but also your nails are pleased with a well-groomed look.

Find your method
Supportive spa treatments are half the battle. To cope with really sore ─ rough skin of the feet ─ can be done in different ways: dry, wet and chemical. Wet method: you take a bath or make a special foot bath, steam the skin and use a pumice stone or a brush to clean off the layer of dead cells.
Using a file or pumice stone that is too abrasive, you risk removing the protective layer of the skin. This is fraught with not only increased growth of a new skin layer and dryness, but cracks and painful sensations. Choose more delicate products.
The dry method is the use of special files or rollers for this purpose (no water procedures are needed for such manipulation). The chemical method is that you use special socks or acid-based peels, which, due to the composition, soften the rough skin. Whichever option you prefer, it is very important to cleanse the skin before the procedure (ideally with a scrub), and then apply a balm, mask or cream that will soothe and soften it.

Use modern technology
We asked an expert from Clarisonic to tell us about why modern gadgets are needed and what are their advantages over “manual” labor. “There are three main reasons,” explains Yana Yezhova. - It's fast. If you have to spend a lot of time and effort on an independent pedicure with a pumice stone and a file in your hands, then the device is enough for two or three minutes. It is absolutely safe, as there is no need to steam the skin (for example, in the ClarisonicPedi there is a nozzle for grinding dead cells and a special nozzle for polishing, which is used together with a gel or scrub). It is economical. Any device, if after purchase you use it not occasionally, but regularly (1-2 times a week), justifies itself. The cost of the service in the salon also pays off (the polishing attachment must be changed every 3 months, for polishing every six months - compare with the price of a pedicure from a master in your city, multiplied by the number of times you are used to doing it), and the time spent on it.

Fall in love with deodorants
They, of course, do not directly affect the condition of the soles and are, rather, a supportive agent, but they can help keep the soles fresh and light, eliminating the itching and the effect of "burning feet" at the end of a hard day. Be sure to use special deodorant sprays and creams that eliminate unpleasant odor for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). They must be applied before going outside. However, often excessive sweating can be caused not by hot weather, but by poor-quality shoes, as well as various diseases. In the latter case, an unpleasant odor will be just a consequence of excessive moisture and you will need to "work" with the cause by contacting specialists.
