A black film mask originally from China called Black Mask blew up the Internet and social networks a couple of years ago. Videos with life hacks on its correct use and photos "before" and "after" were posted even by those who have never thought about beauty blogging. Is it any wonder that very quickly the original product acquired many analogs ─ Korean, Japanese, American and European, which significantly expanded not only the product line (black masks are no longer only film masks), but also its functionality.
The main task of the black mask has always been deep cleansing and the fight against comedones (black dots, hence the name). Owners of all skin types are familiar with them, but girls with epidermis prone to oily content are in especially close relationships. Comedones appear on the face due to the increased production of sebum, which clogs the pores and leaves dense bumps and nodules at the exit. Oxidizing when interacting with oxygen and mixing with sweat and dust, the translucent sebaceous secretion darkens and turns into a black point. Why comedones often appear on the face and especially in the T-zone (on the forehead, nose and chin) ─ due to improper or insufficient cleansing, an unbalanced diet, hormonal disruptions or low-quality cosmetics ─ a cosmetologist will help to figure it out, but to cope with you can use them with black masks.
Such masks owe their name to the constituent components that give them a dark color - these are black clay, activated carbon, therapeutic mud, algae extracts.
All components, in addition to perfectly cleanse, improve cell regeneration and "breathing" of the skin, smooth its surface, soothe microinflammation, improve tone, remove oily sheen and matte. In general, take a closer look at this product if a) you notice a scattering of black dots on the forehead, bridge of the nose and chin; b) you have clearly noticeable enlarged pores, and the skin tends to be greasy (shines and shines, 1-1.5 hours after washing); c) you are an adherent of proper skin care, and you just need a good cleansing and toning mask.
Black masks are of different types: paste masks (harden on the skin and washed off with warm water), creamy masks (practically do not harden on the skin surface, washed off with warm water), film masks (dry on the skin surface, forming a film, and are removed with neat sipping).
Black masks are very effective if you strictly adhere to some rules when applying them:
1. Masks with a deep cleansing effect (with activated carbon and acids in the composition) are applied only to problem areas of the skin (for example, the T-zone), avoiding the delicate area around the eyes and lips. If you have sensitive skin, rosacea or inflammation rashes, film masks and deep cleansing masks are not your option.
2. Do not use black masks if the skin is irritated or damaged (these include both chemical and mechanical influences - cleaning and peeling, intense tanning and sunburn, inflammation and wounds).
3. Be sure to cleanse your skin before applying the mask, and complete the procedure with care to relieve the feeling of slight discomfort (tightness and dryness).
4. If you have a normal, combination or oily skin type, use masks 1-2 times a week, if the skin is dry, one application every two weeks or even less often ─ as needed.
5. Do not be fooled and perceive black masks, with all their wonderful complex of useful properties, as a panacea: without properly selected regular skin care, none will give your face a healthy color and flawless skin texture.
Choosing your black mask
Mask for face and hair with Moroccan clay, Yves Rocher: the black clay ghassoul (otherwise ─ rassoul) included in the mask not only cleanses and heals the skin of the face, but also has a tightening and toning effect. This mask is a universal product that can be applied to the hair and scalp (ghassoul clay promises to strengthen hair follicles, and argan oil ─ to nourish hair shafts).
Pros: scrubbing effect (slight tingling is allowed when applied), full skin hydration, economical consumption.
