New Year's Kaleidoscope: Makeup For Brown And Blue Eyes From Dior Makeup Artists

Cabochon cut shapes, prismatic sheen and warm gold shine, deep glowing hues - this seasonal limited edition from Dior's Creative Director of Makeup Peter Philips is luxurious and expensive.

The “precious” names of flowers - pomegranate, emerald, ruby, tourmaline, amethyst - are mesmerizing, and the festive versions of the cases (especially the couture Rouge Precious Rocks for 6 lipsticks ─ look for it in the selection below) are mesmerizing.

Leading Dior makeup artist Roxana Arakelyan came up with two makeup options especially for Marie Claire readers - for warm brown eyes and cold blue-gray eyes. This make-up makes a good claim to be the very option we will choose for the New Year's celebrations. Brown eyes

Crystal freshness is the soloist in Dior's New Year's make-up, therefore, first of all, we achieve the perfect skin tone. Deal with imperfections with Forever Undercover Concealer (shade 021), focusing on the under-eye area: apply concealer firmly with a soft triangle applicator and carefully blend the edges with a sponge. Forever Undercover Concealer a couple of shades darker can also be used for light contouring. Even out the tone with Diorskin Forever Perfect Mousse (shade 020): The combination of light coverage and an ultra-matte effect leaves the skin soft and radiant. Apply Diorific Precious Rocks Loose Powder on the prominent areas of the face (optionally on the décolleté and shoulders). The finishing (and refreshing) touch - Dior Blush (shade 746).

We emphasize the eyebrows using Diorshow Bold Brow mascara (shade 011) - you don't need to draw anything, the line should be as natural as possible. Using the New Year's "version" of Diorshow Bold Brow (004 Gold) we decorate them with a light golden shimmer.

On the area of the moving eyelid, apply the fixing and smoothing base of long-acting Eye Prime. With Pro Liner (092 Black) draw a clear line along the lash line and start working with shadows. From the two new limited edition 5 Couleurs palettes, select the Ruby palette and apply red shades to the entire area of the moving eyelid. Shading carefully, using brown and burgundy nuances as transitional ones (do not forget about the line of the lower eyelid) - play with color depending on your mood and the desired effect. We paint the eyelashes with Pump'N'Volum e mascara, paying special attention to the upper ones - 3-4 layers are acceptable. Add gloss to the lips with a light veil Diorific Matte Fluid (shade 005 Charm) …

We perform nail art using the trendy bright green shade (809 Emerald) Diorific Vernis nail polish.

Blue eyes

For preparatory work, we use the same manipulations with the Forever Undercover Concealer mower (blue-eyed and fair-skinned girls can try the lighter shade 020). For the perfect tone, take the Diorskin Forever Perfect Cushion matte finish in shade 010 (Ivory). We achieve an absolute matte finish with Diorskin Forever & Ever Control airy loose powder. Accentuate the cheeks with the peach glow of the new Diorblush Precious Rocks (shade 864).

For eyebrow makeup, take an ultra-thin eyebrow pencil Diorshow Brow Styler (shade 002 Universal Dark Brown) and carefully work out the gaps, adhering to the natural hairline. We perform soft smoky eyes in a different range - emerald gray-green. We use the second unique palette from the 5 Couleurs Precious Rocks New Year's collection in the Emerald palette, mixing colors and textures as desired and shading the color “deep” into the brow space. We lengthen and tighten the eyelashes with the Diorshow Maximizer 3D primer and paint with Pump'N'Volume mascara in 2-3 layers.

For lip makeup, choose the deep and rich shade 741 Deep Ruby of Diorific Khôl kayal lipstick with a powdery matte finish (the side effect of dryness is not scary - the formula is saturated not only with a high concentration of pigments, but also with vegetable oils).
