We asked Sophia Dupina, the head makeup artist of Guerlain in Russia, to help cope with the phobia of chic and glitter. Especially for the readers of Marie Claire.ru, she came up with two makeup options and told how to look irresistible on the main night of the outgoing year (as well as any other - insanely important for you).
Magic shimmer: for romantic and dreamy
Start with the Blurring Active Base for a matte finish and lasting makeup. Even out the tone with Parure de Lumière Long-lasting Moisturizing Foundation - for perfect coverage, spread over the face with gentle strokes from the center to the periphery with your fingertips. Use the versatile Palette Gold for the eyes and cheeks: accentuate the cheekbones and apples of the cheeks with dry blush, and with the base shade Gold Leaf Topcoat and three shades of pearlescent nude chocolate eyeshadows apply soft smoky eyes. If desired (and necessary), you can slightly work out eyebrow shadows.
Tip: Use a damp brush to intensify and deep coverage on the lids!
Paint over the lashes with Cils d'Enfer So Volume super-volumizing mascara (to make the lashes look as voluminous and curled as possible, apply mascara from roots to ends, moving in a zigzag manner). Lips emphasize the matte moisturizing lipstick KissKiss Matte in a neutral shade M375 Flaming Rose (the coating was perfect, and his lips kept longer the effect of moisture, as a base, apply smoothing base under lipstick Liplift KissKiss).
Fantastic shine: for the brave and determined
Achieve the perfect complexion with the moisturizing and refreshing Lingerie de Peau anti-fatigue fluid cushion (pearlescent particles visually smooth the skin surface perfectly). Use Multi-Perfection Long Lasting Concealer to mask pronounced skin imperfections and dark circles under the eyes.
Use the Palette Gold eyeshadow palette to work on the cheekbones (one light brush stroke is enough) and apply eye makeup. Take neutral nude as the main one, lay on it any other one you want - from terracotta to dark brown ─ and blend thoroughly, achieving sparkling overflows of color. Use soft gold to add highlights and accentuate the inner corner of the eye. Using the L'art Du Trait felt-tip eyeliner, draw clear arrows (we advise you to do this also along the line of the lower eyelid - a beauty trend from the last Fashion Weeks!). Lips "put" in luxurious velvet coating lipstick Rouge G in shade 822 "Glamorous cherry" ─ Its shimmery effect will give the look the necessary dose of glamor.
