Provocative is a good definition for Yves Saint Laurent's seasonal makeup collection. Courage and determination are paramount, because its basis is a firework of sparkling sparkles. A palette of products for the face, eyes and lips, limited edition shades of Rouge Pur Couture and Volupte Shine lipsticks, the famous Touche Eclat highlighter, two new colors of LLaque Couture nail polish dazzle, and not only with luxurious golden packaging ─ sparks from glitter in the eyes.
On the one hand, this crazy beauty is close and understandable - the solemn hours of the holidays are getting closer. On the other hand, "flares of fire, exciting color codes and a scattering of sparkling lights" raise many questions. Chief among them: how to tame the shining diversity without turning it into a vulgar ugliness? We asked Kirill Shabalin, the national makeup artist of Yves Saint Laurent Beaute in Russia, to answer it. In the period of active preparation for New Year's parties and especially for Marie Claire - this is already a good tradition! - he came up with three makeup options using new products from the Dazzling Lights limit. To make them wearable and practical, as well as economical, the make-up artist allowed tidies up the tone of the face the way you usually do, focusing his fantasy efforts on his main asset - the eyes.
Makeup for blue eyes
We offer blue-eyed girls to focus on the eyes in the form of dramatic arrows. On the entire movable eyelid, tightly apply and carefully shade the golden shade from the Holiday Look 2017 Collector Palette Dazzling Lights.
Using the Couture Eye Liner in a deep blue (05 Blue), draw an arrow along the lash line of the upper eyelid, taking it to the outer corner of the eye and extending it to the temple. Paint your lashes with MascarVinyl Couture Black (1 I'm The Clash).
Lips for such eyes are better to choose "calm": take a light pink shade from the Christmas palette and apply in one light layer on the lips with your fingertips. Apply the same shade to your cheekbones to refresh your makeup. Lovers of more intense make-up can play with the depth of the lip tone during the evening, changing it, for example, to the bright and chic burgundy-pink shade 9 Rose Stiletto from the limited edition Rouge Pur Couture lipstick.
Makeup for green eyes
For those with green eyes - from herbal to emerald green - you can focus on the lips. Apply 64 Electric Fuchsia from Rouge Volupte Shine, an explosive pink filled with sophisticated shimmer.
Using the Holiday Look 2017 Collector Palette Dazzling Lights, apply a golden shade to the area of the eyelid, and on the outer corner of the eye and into the crease, apply and well, blend the dark plum until haze. Along the eyelash contour, if there is a desire to highlight the eyes more, you can add more dark and more daring look. Use MascarVinyl Couture black mascara.
Accentuate your cheekbones by adding a light pink lipstick shade from the Christmas palette for a creamy blush.
Makeup for brown eyes
If you have brown eyes, don't be afraid to accentuate them and try quick yet luxurious smoky eyes. Work around the eye area with Touche Eclat Highlighter Concealer to hide imperfections (use it on the movable eyelid as a base under the shadow). Apply a dark plum shade from the Holiday Look 2017 Collector Palette Dazzling Lights to the entire movable eyelid in a dense layer. To give the eyes size and volume, blend the bronze shade of Blush Volupte (9 Bohemian) into the crease of the eyelid. Paint over lashes with MascarVinyl Couture Mascara in a deep black color.
For lips, choose a red lipstick from the palette. Use Blush Volupte compact blush, which was used for eye makeup, slightly tint the cheekbones, and also add a few touches to the most prominent points of the face for a shine highlighter from the Holiday Look 2017 Collector Palette Dazzling Lights - it has a pinkish pigment and will harmonize beautifully with the shadows.
