The most wonderful nail professionals are always in the shadow of celebrity stylists and make-up artists who selflessly cast on backstages. That is why the name of Tom Bachik may not be familiar to you at all. It's time to fill the gap, because the nail designer is now the global ambassador of the well-known OPI products. We found at least two reasons why this is a strategic coup for the Americans.

Firstly, Bachik's significant experience in the nail industry still serves as a guarantee that he will bring something new and curious to the history and products of the brand, unlike, for example, another beautiful supermodel ambassador (who has devoted 20 years of his life to his nails Tom has won more than 300 professional competitions). Secondly, Bachik is one of the most famous, popular and expensive nail stylists today: he works behind the scenes at the Oscars and Golden Globes, consults Chanel, Gucci, Versace and Armani, collaborates with Vogue, Vanity Fair, Elle, Allure and InStyle, nails Jennifer Lopez, Selene Gomez, Victoria Beckham, Kendal Jenner and Gwyneth Paltrow. It is obvious that the stylish-fantasy and previously OPI products will now acquire the fashion prefix.
Main trends

We asked the new OPI trendsetter to tell you what color is the best to paint your nails this winter. It turns out, according to Bachik, you shouldn't be ashamed of your love for “banal” red - it's hot, sexy and elegant (“As soon as the temperature starts to drop, I immediately get a lot of“orders”for designs using classic bright red ─ ideal for everyone social events "). When it comes to evening celebrations, Tom advises using dark shades - they give the image a special effect. Anyone who loves glitter can use silver metallic - this winter it is a favorite with designers.
Like all ministers of the beauty industry, Tom Bachik lives for the season ahead. In the spring of 2018, in his opinion, the streets most often will be rich in shades of blue and "watercolor" blue, deep yellow, fuchsia.
How to get a long-lasting manicure (at home)

On the eve of the New Year's celebrations, the question of preserving the impeccable appearance of nails is gaining relevance, and we, taking this opportunity, asked the master to give some valuable advice ─ how to extend the life of the varnish?
Tom, what tricks will help you get the perfect manicure at home?
Here are the main ones. First: after removing the old coating, wipe the nail plate with a napkin moistened with alcohol (90% alcohol works best). Most women prefer to use nail polish remover, but they tend to contain lanolin and other moisturizing additives. These substances can affect the durability of the coating! Second: be sure to use a base coat ─ it maintains the "wear" of the varnish. Third, apply the color coat in two thin, even coats - this will help to shorten the drying time (if you want a thicker finish, it is better to apply three thin coats than two thick coats). Fourth:let the coating dry for a couple of minutes before applying the top. While the nail polish is drying, use an old sponge or eyeliner brush dampened with nail polish remover to clean the cuticle area. Fifth: be sure to protect the color with a top coat (it also gives shine) and finish the procedure with applying cuticle oil.
What is the biggest mistake we make in nail care?
First of all, we neglect moisture. Daily routines dehydrate our nails (especially frequent hand washing). Just use cuticle oil every night before bed (and whenever you need it) to help prevent cracks and burrs. The next mistake concerns our desire to help the varnish dry faster. The main point is to allow the color coat to dry for at least one minute before you start applying the top coat. The top (now talking about OPI) dries faster than the color has time to contact the nail, and thus the total drying time increases.
Share the professional secret ─ how to increase the time of "wearing" the varnish?
I have three of them. Firstly, after removing the old coating and processing the nails, wipe the nail plate with a napkin moistened with isopropyl alcohol (not a nail polish remover!) ─ we have already talked about this. Second, apply a top coat to your nails a few days after your manicure: this will help renew the finish, giving your nails a shine and extra protection. Third, maintain hydration levels. This is where nail oil and appropriate cuticle care products come in handy.
