The professionals on the set were director Matteo Garrone (though he filmed with a hand-held documentary-style camera) and actor Kit Harington. The rest of the roles were played by local residents, and they did it with undisguised passion and stormy Italian temperament. An advertising campaign for The One for Men, Dolce & Gabbana was filmed in Naples.
“This is the first time this kind of shooting happened to me! - says Kit Harington. - The whole area was decorated like a huge market. It turned out so colorful! As if the invisible wall between the stage and the auditorium was removed. The crowd rushed in and merged with the actors. The Neapolitans spent the whole day with us, they did not play the role, they were themselves. This created an atmosphere of sincere fun, live communication and genuine emotions. In fact, I am a "real Briton" who rarely smiles. However, this work gave me the opportunity to reveal my "Italian" essence. I felt like a little "godfather", the hero of this film. Remember when Robert De Niro walks through the square …"
At the heart of The One for Men, Dolce & Gabbana, there is a deep brutal accord of oriental wood and tobacco. The "Italian" lightness and mobility is given to it by the notes of spices and herbs: coriander, basil, cardamom, ginger.
“It's quite difficult and fun to wear the title - The One. In this case, you can be a superhero or "Mr. Charm" - the main thing is how you feel yourself. I have always considered myself an opponent of the dictatorship of "off scale brutality". Masculinity is different, and the choice is always yours. You know, I don't think about age at all. I like wrinkles on both men and women. They talk about how rich and interesting life was.
And yet - I found myself with gray hair. While he feels rather lonely, but I think over time he will have a company. In short, you shouldn't take everything too seriously. Mr. Dolce and Mr. Gabbana told me before filming: “We should all just have fun. Smile, dance, catch the smells of delicious food, communicate with people. " Perhaps it was the best brief in my life!"
