A perfect oval, flawless tone and competent accents are the basics of face sculpting. Do not be intimidated by contouring a la Kim Kardashian: the right technique will allow you to correct the cheekbones, nose and lips without 10 layers of makeup. How exactly this can be done, says the leading makeup artist and founder of MakeMyDay Studio Katya Katz.
Stage 1: preparation
We start makeup by preparing the skin: apply a moisturizing serum or cream, wait 10-15 minutes and proceed to tone. For the make-up of the model, a transparent Lasting Silk UV Foundation (shade 5) from Giorgio Armani is used. Be sure to highlight the area under the eyes with a concealer, removing small redness and erasing dark circles ─ this will visually “smooth” the face, and make the look brighter. We fix the tone with powder: you can, for example, use Next to Nothing (medium shade) from MAC. It is important not to overdo it with the density of the product, so as not to get the effect of a dense cloth mask!

Stage 2: contouring
So, directly contouring. You can use a matte bronzer or a sculptor for it (very good option is from Nars). We put a shadow under the cheekbone and extend it to the temporal part, as well as to the triangle of the forehead from the temple ─ thanks to this we achieve sculptural and expressiveness of the face. For a finishing touch, apply a bit of highlighter or shimmer with a subsequent layer for a natural glow and freshness.

Stage 3: accents
On the highest part of the bone, apply a highlighter or shimmer (without large sparkles): here, for the model's make-up, the Couture Palette (shade 7 ─ Parisienne) from Yves Saint Laurent was used. Gently place the shimmer on the "back" of the nose ─ it will give the skin a slight glow and visually lengthen the nose a little. We also apply a little shimmer on the movable eyelid to give volume to the eyes ─ ideal proportions that emphasize the harmony of the face are ready.
