In the spring of 2018, Givenchy perfume house created a fragrance that will be a success among garden flower lovers.
Blossom Crush is the fourth interpretation of the Live Irresistible theme, launched in 2015 by perfume nose Dominique Ropillon. It is curious that at that time for more than a dozen years there was another line - Very Irresistible, in which perfumers actively experimented with combining notes of peony and rose with other ingredients. The number of such perfumery experiments by that time had already exceeded two dozen, when suddenly it appears - a complex-complex aroma-dessert, in which one cannot even smell a rose behind a fruit-vanilla praline with pineapple pieces, and there is no peony at all. In the next year's version, Ropillon adds raspberries to pineapples, and in 2017 creates a sweet mix of caramel, vanilla, French pastries and cherry jam. And it seems that everything is clear with the aromas of the Live Irresistible line,when Live Irresistible Blossom Crush suddenly appears - an unexpected return to basics. It’s like you walked out of a French pastry shop with its abundance of desserts into a blooming summer garden.
In short, Blossom Crush is very different from its three predecessors, and this is the first thing to know for those who are waiting for the continuation of the history of Live Irresistible. The new scent is about flowers, not sweets. In it, Ropillon seems to return to Givenchy's favorite combination of roses and peonies. Here, both of them - for a generous armful, right from the summer garden. In a new bottle sprinkled with crystal prisms, they were mixed with notes of musk and cocoa.
The fragrance was released in the concentration of eau de toilette, which, on the one hand, is very humane (a more intense concentration would greatly limit you in using the fragrance - the flowers sound very bold in it). But on the other hand, it can give rise to unfounded claims about resilience. Then just remember that this is eau de toilette and do not expect it to last 6-8 hours on you.
What associations does the aroma evoke in us?
