Gwyneth Paltrow was so carried away by her wellness project Goop that she decided to take a break from her acting career for a while. The star enthusiastically reports on various trends in healthy lifestyle, from time to time offering quite bold ideas from the point of view of doctors. But, as it turns out, Gwyneth does not always follow her own recommendations, and, in particular, this applies to popular techniques for cleansing the body, such as detox. At one time, Gwyneth actively advertised fasting days, offered various recipes for green smoothies for "cleaning from toxins." But now, on her podcast for Goop, Patrow revealed that she rarely runs a full detox program herself.

“I don't usually practice cleaning (the body). Unless only if in the role of "guinea pig experimental" for your project. Or they do one cleaning once a year."

The star also talked about her daily diet. "I usually make a smoothie for breakfast, I have a great healthy lunch with proteins and salad, and I eat whatever I want for dinner, but generally I try to avoid processed foods and foods with high fructose corn syrup." According to beauty experts, the fact that Gwyneth herself abandoned detox programs is quite remarkable. Some nutritionists and nutritionists have repeatedly opposed the hobby for "cleansing", in which the daily diet consists only of juices (mainly fruits). It is assumed that such a detox can worsen complexion due to an overabundance of fructose in the blood, which is abundant in fruits. For example, fitness specialist Teirin Toomey notes: “Juice detox can be a real torture and if you do it for the sake of losing weight, then of course, lose a few pounds. But it is quite possible to get all the nutrients contained in juices by consuming the whole fruit."

Back in 2013, Gwyneth admitted that one of the "purges" led her to unpleasant consequences. “I did juice detox in the past, did Master Cleanse and after 10 days I started hallucinations … Remember: juice detox can disrupt metabolism and lead to weight gain in the future.”
