The 71st Cannes Festival has started, and now for a week and a half we will enjoy the daily beauty and fashion marathon of famous world beauties ─ actresses, models and public figures. Let's start right now ─ admiring the most beautiful looks from the red carpet of the opening ceremony.

L'Oreal Paris has been the official partner of the film festival for 21 times, and its ambassadors in Cannes are in special honor, but, according to tradition, other cosmetic brands are delighted with the skill of makeup artists and stylists.

Cate blanchett

The chairman of the jury managed to get ready for the ceremonial appearance on the red carpet after the official dinner photocall. The actress gathered her hair in a low bun in a parted part in the manner of Greek styling and preferred very correct makeup with a slight accent on the eyes. Makeup artists only slightly emphasized the cheekbones and added color to the lips with a salmon shade of lipstick.

Kristen Stewart

The youngest member of the main competition jury did not change her “romantic punk” hairstyle with which she appeared in Cannes. Kristen's short hair is divided into three zones: the lateral ones are combed on the sides, and the parietal is raised up, while the back of the head is decorated with a funny mini-pigtail. The actress's makeup is bright and dramatic: deep graphite smoky with glitter (presumably, Chanel makeup artists did a good job). As we expected, a cute, disheveled rebel-intellectual arrived at the festival (more about Kristen's beauty evolution in Cannes - "Such a drama: Kristen Stewart in Cannes"). it is curious that Kristen gave an interview on the red carpet in French, decisively refusing the services of an interpreter.

Lea Seydoux

She looked great with soft waves on an elongated bob and with evening make-up: a highlighter on the cheekbones, shadows of a shade of wet graphite with a light glitter and pearlescent nude lipstick ─ a real secular film star! We remind you that the Frenchwoman is a member of the jury this year, so we will still admire her, but for now we recall "Top 5 most sensual roles of Lea Seydoux."

Penelope Cruz

The Spaniard appeared on the red carpet excited: is it a joke - the film "Everybody Knows", where she stars with her husband Javier Bardem, opens the festival. There are many black dresses on the steps of the Palais des Festivals and Congresses in Cannes today, including those on the Penelope. The actress emphasized the outfit with intense eyeliner, bronzer on the cheekbones and lipstick in the shade of a dusty rose, and the stylists simply pulled out the hair and left it to flow freely over the shoulders. It's good when you can look great with almost no effort!

Romy Straid

The image of a Victoria's Secret angel at the 71st Cannes Film Festival begs to be compared with a mermaid: the main reason, of course, is the dress, but the make-up and styling did not fail. Soft waves on long hair (we note a very natural stretch of color from the roots) look wonderfully organic for the entourage of the Cote d'Azur.

Julianne Moore

One of those whom we follow with special attention ─ the ability of the 57-year-old actress to look simple and tasteful exactly for her age can only be envied. The course towards naturalness is continued: Julianne's main decoration is her smile and eyes, and her make-up and hairstyle are very simple. Classic arrows, lipstick to match the dress and a high, careless bun are almost perfect. By the way, we have already written about how to make a Hollywood bun ─ “How to make a knot on the top of your head and feel like a star”.

Araya Hargate

Another beautiful classic look: radiant skin (as predicted by L'Oreal experts, this is an absolute trend), soft "smoky" in brown shades and a smooth low bun with a side parting. Pay attention to the thick natural eyebrows of Araya - this is exactly the shape we have often seen among the guests of the Met Gala quite recently.

Alice Taglioni

Another flawless lady in red. Alice Taglioni showed both how to wear a red pantsuit (and not look provocatively vulgar) and how to do a hairstyle inspired by the sea breeze. The styling of the Frenchwoman is unusual: on one side the hair is braided into a tight "spikelet", and the strands combed on the other side are laid in curls. French make-up is light ─ a little blush, a little eye shadow and a soft salmon-colored lipstick.

Isabelle Adjani

The actress recently became the ambassador of L'Orereal Paris, and, of course, special attention is riveted to her. It seems that the Frenchwoman will perfectly fit into the stellar company of the brand ─ on the red carpet she looks bright and fresh. A shag haircut with long bangs rejuvenates the face, while neutral makeup emphasizes natural beauty. But where to get such a languid look is a big question.
