Inna Virabova, President of the International Dental Association (IDA), Oral-B and Blend-a-med expert, explains why you really need dental scrubs, oral foams, hyaluronic acid injections for gums and other non-standard "dental" products.
Whitening strips
They whiten teeth at home, are safe to use, have no serious contraindications and can whiten teeth in stages, bringing the shade to the desired one. The effect lasts long enough, while gently acting on the enamel and not injuring the mucous membrane of the cheeks and lips. However, one cannot do without a preliminary consultation with a dentist ─ God takes care of him.
Peels with black charcoal
Recently, special peeling products and applications based on black charcoal have appeared on the market, the action of which is also aimed at whitening teeth. In fact, this invention is not new, as it came to us from the Arab countries, where black coal has been used as a bleaching agent for centuries. It is worth using such funds strictly according to the instructions and only in the absence of contraindications (these include hypersensitivity of the teeth, age up to 18 years and some others).

Tooth gloss
For those who like to dazzle others with their smile, there is a special shine that gives the teeth an incredible shine and attracts the eyes. The tool has a short-term effect and does not carry much benefit, but it looks impressive. The gloss is sold in special tubes and is applied with the included applicator brush.
Cleansing foam
If we talk about truly useful inventions in the field of "dentistry for beauty", then one cannot fail to note the foam for the oral cavity. It is analogous to a rinse aid, but due to its consistency and taste it is much more pleasant to use. It is convenient to carry with you and use it after every meal and, unlike conventional rinses, the foam does not irritate the mucous membranes and is suitable even for children.

Scrub for teeth
This is a completely new product, created by analogy with a skin scrub. The principle of its action is simple: due to the mechanical action of special granules on the surface of the teeth, the enamel is smoothed, as a result of which the teeth begin to shine. Simply put, the tooth surface is polished and plaque prevented. But while the scrub will definitely benefit your teeth, it is not a substitute for professional cleaning at the dentist's office.
Hyaluronic acid
Today, the procedure for injecting hyaluronic acid into the gums is gaining more and more popularity. This is an exclusively medical manipulation that can be carried out only according to the indications of a dentist and only in a clinic. It is carried out by a specialist to restore the shape of the gums and improve its appearance, sometimes even eliminating the need for surgery.
Electric brush with massage effect
You won't surprise anyone with an electric toothbrush now, but only if these are not brushes with a reciprocating-rotating technology. The essence of the technology lies in the fact that the small round head of the nozzle pulsates and turns from side to side. Pulsating movements loosen plaque, and reciprocating movements sweep away. This creates a gentle massage effect that improves microcirculation - it is useful for preventing inflammation and for generally strengthening the health of the gums and teeth. In the latest models of such brushes, in addition to this, a system for determining the cleaning zone is installed, which helps to evenly work out the entire oral cavity, and there are also special modes for cleaning the tongue.
