While all our thoughts are occupied with cashmere scarves and cardigans, world makeup artists on the catwalk are already forming the most fashionable and curious makeup techniques that we will desperately try to repeat, after just a few months. For the most impatient, we tell you about the beauty trends of the SS 2018 season.
Supermodel leather
The main beauty trend is naturalness. The skin will have to look like it’s nothing on it (ideally it should be, but it’s going to take some work to get out of the house without a tone or even a primer). The ideal tone and soft natural glow (or porcelain dullness ─ that's more to your liking) are the favorites of all world makeup artists without exception. Focusing on the "baby skin" effect that Alex Box has masterfully created for Issey Miyake.
Death contouring
Down with corrective palettes: the new season invites you to accept and love the natural oval of the face. Makeup artists, enthusiastically involved in the game "a la natural", happily began to experiment with blush. What can be inspired? An example of Pat McGrath, who used classic pink for Valentino models (though she took it not just high, but literally to the temples). Tom Peschot, who played with the Chanel nymphs, giving them a bold red blush (bold enough for such an intense eye makeup). Also, the wonders of delicate blush treatment are taught by Sam Bryant: “his” girls at the Simone Roch show conjured roses shyly blooming on “apples” cheeks.
Cat's Eye
Traditionally, this version of the eyeliner is considered "winter", but in 2018 it migrated into summer - albeit with a slight upgrade. The new "cat's eye" is light, airy and completely uncomplicated in execution - take inspiration from options from Lucia Pieroni (Rochas) and Karim Rahman (Lanvin) and grab the liner. More traditional lines, also lengthening the eyes, but more powerful, are also in trend: for examples we go to Fendi and Jill Stuart.
Shine
All four fashion weeks make-up artists literally went crazy over him, and we can firmly say that in the new season we will shine (we hope, still not shine). We are offered to make our eyes a real jewel - and these are not just words, but a dense coating in the form of a pigment with glitter and rhinestones (their combination with sequins decorating the outfit, like Jeremy Scott's, produces a simply dazzling effect).

Berry lips
Lips in the summer will be beautiful, juicy and perky. The shades are the most edible, from coral tomatoes to sweet cherry and raspberry shades. At the Dolce & Gabban runway, we saw Pat McGrath using an impressive arsenal of cherry pops to suit everyone. The sparkling countryman, who reigns the ball at Chanel, is addressed to emotional sensual natures, and the magical scarlet carrot at Max Mar is for those who are not averse to occasionally having a little fun, surprising others with a change of image. Strange eyelashes
Strictly speaking, in the next season, it is best to leave them completely unattended (very, very many have done this - Carolin Herrer and Tory Burch, Self-Portrait and Oscar de lRenta). This, however, does not apply to nourishing oil or strengthening base. But if you really stand out, then do it as noticeably as possible, painting over the eyelashes not in 2 or even in 3 layers, but at least 5-6. We know what will come of this ─ and we solemnly confirm that the spider's legs are back.
Original eyeliner
Equally impressive on both the upper and lower eyelids, the liner line breaks stereotypes. She is sloppy, sloppy and a little messy. One of her best looks was demonstrated by Yadim Corransa, who overnight came up with makeup for Jason Wu models: he seemed to put a dot on the brush with the shadows he had typed on the brush and printed it with gusto ─ it was a beauty hit. In general, we advise you not to worry: in the summer of 2018, you can emphasize your eyes as you want. It is not forbidden to do this even on the lower eyelid. And no matter how gloomy the podium options for everyday life may seem, they have a definite plus: for such arrows you will definitely not need a spoon or a technologically advanced "folding" liner.
Eyes - "electric" (or just very bright)
I just want to ask: are you serious? The electro-pop eye make-up that we saw at the House of Holland show delighted and instantly tuned in to the summer wave. Orange, pink and turquoise are more suitable for a crazy party by the pool than for going to the office, but what difference does it make if after six months of dullness we miss the rich colors so much that we agree on the most daring option? Choose whichever is more to your taste: romantic, rich and dense, pastel (Missoni) or blue "blues" shades (Marni). The main message is: the brighter the better. Although, of course, the original make-up of non-conformist Hung Wango for Matty Bovan will be difficult to surpass (that is, redraw).
