Peter Philips met with journalists immediately after the show. Where did he get so much strength and energy? He has just been running backstage at the Musée Rodin in Paris and personally correcting the makeup of almost every model. Although, it would seem, what is there to correct? Colored arrows covered with dark glasses … Not the most complicated scheme. But Peter is a perfectionist, so he will always find what needs to be improved and improved. This time, he upgraded, and to a new level, the collection of basic Dior Backstage makeup (well, this is in addition to the colored arrows, of course).
“I never create a mystery about how to make an image,” says Peter. - No, of course, I do not share with the whole world the ideas of the next collection, but I literally consider it my duty to explain how to. It is much nicer to see a well-done make-up than a ridiculous and sloppy makeup. For Dior Backstage, I was inspired by what goes on behind the scenes of the fashion shows. From the outside it seems very, very difficult - to repeat the image from the catwalk, but if you have the right tools, a certain manual dexterity and at least a little practice, then there will be no problems.
The Dior Backstage collection is a set of basic make-up products that will suit both makeup artists and “amateurs”. It will help the latter to achieve professional results.
I have invested in this project all my twenty years of experience in filming and fashion shows.
Now everything around is changing at a fantastic rate. I also find some new techniques, I understand what is convenient and what is not very good. This year, the Backstage Line comes out with an updated design.
I am often asked if I have a large suitcase with cosmetics and how many assistants carry it with me. So, you will be surprised to see how little money I get around. It seemed to me in my youth that I might need both this and that, and there is no way to do without this … Fortunately, now that necessary set has been found with which you can do anything.
The Backstage line consists of 40 shades of foundation (22 shades will be presented in Russia), two palettes for the eyes, two for eyebrows and one palette each for contouring, highlighting and lip makeup. Very good brushes, of course.
Quite frankly, I am especially proud of the all-round Face & Body Foundation.
Thanks to the texture of the fluid, you can adjust the intensity of the coating yourself. If you want lightness - apply it with your fingers, a little denser - use a flat brush, for an ultra-perfect result - add another layer. In addition, it is a waterproof tone that will not leave you either in the heat or in the rain.
