
Today every wellness fan has tried juicing, a juice cleanse, at least once. But sometimes the result of temporary abstinence is not quite as expected. Do not blame the producers of healthy drinks for everything. It is worth first analyzing your own habits and small indulgences that interfere with the achievement of the goal.
With shops overflowing with green drinks, temporary meal replacements with juices and various smoothies are becoming more popular. Indeed, such a detox is very attractive: it is convenient and useful, it increases the amount of vitamins and antioxidants in the body, and most importantly, it gets rid of the “waste” from the body. If you want to be “in the juice”, remember the most common mistakes of juicing and try not to make them.
Mistake 1: giving up coffee
Caffeine is strictly prohibited during most detox programs. But if you are used to drinking strong coffee day in and day out, it is important that the "goodbye" is not too hasty. Instead of flatly refusing a few days before the start of the cleanse, switch to black coffee (that is, without milk, cream and sugar) - this will make it easier to refuse it. If you plan ahead, you can gradually wean yourself off caffeine by extending the process over a month.
Try slowly increasing the amount of decaffeinated coffee: 25% of this coffee in the first week, 50% in the second, 75% in the third, and the fourth is completely decaf. If you absolutely need "dope" during cleansing, it is better to choose green tea.
Mistake 2: train as usual

Now is not the time for an intense exercise regimen, even if you are in great shape. During the juice cleanse, you consume significantly fewer calories than usual, so do not overload on your workouts. Many people think that it is possible to give all the best as usual, but it is better to take a break during detox. You should not go to the other extreme - sticking to the sofa. Light activity is always welcome. Try walking, yoga, swimming, or Pilates.
Mistake 3: drinking alcohol
It can upset all your plans, both cleansing and weight loss. This liquid not only slows down the metabolism, but also supplies zero nutritional calories to the body. Plus, consuming even small doses of alcohol on an empty stomach can harm the body. In general, meeting friends at a bar at the start of juicing should probably be rescheduled to avoid unnecessary temptation.
Mistake 4: eating nuts

Many diets allow nuts as a healthy snack. During juicing, when you feel the urge to grab a snack (or just chew), raw vegetables and fruits are the best solution. Choose foods high in water (cucumbers, celery, watermelon) and eat in small portions to avoid overloading your digestive system.
Mistake 5: revert to the old power plan
The "immediately after cleansing" period is the time to revise your diet and include healthy foods. Cleansing results will largely depend on which path you take after detox. The instant transition from juice to a large plate of pasta or a hamburger won't do your stomach good. Think ahead and make a meal plan before you finish cleansing. If you have stocked up on healthy food and know what to give up, you can easily get out of juicing and maintain the result as long as possible.

From the second to the fifth day after the detox, it is permissible to include meat and fish. It is best to stay away from grains, dairy products, and alcohol for at least a week.
