“I am not 15 years old for a long time, but rashes and acne did not go away with the transition period. Inflammation often appears on the face and does not go away for a long time. The most unpleasant thing is that after some scars remain. How to deal with acne?"
Ilona (30 years old)
Dermatologist's answer:
Now more and more people are suffering from acne at a seemingly "inappropriate" age for this. Ecology, industry, hormonal disruptions in the body, and stress play a role here - there are many reasons. But if you choose the right care, you can correct the situation.
So, the first stage is purification. For those who use makeup and SPF creams every day, you need to make it a rule to cleanse your skin in two stages. In the case of just a light tone and concealer, one step of cleansing will be enough. For washing, choose products that do not dry out the skin: micellar water, balms and creams, hydrophilic oil or milk. What you should pay attention to in order not to be mistaken with the choice is the amount of foam when mixing the product with water. Abundant foaming indicates that the formula contains SLS (sodium laurisulfate - surfactant), which disrupts the hydrobalance of tissues. You don't need this problem.
The second stage of care is skin exfoliation. Products with low concentrations of acids are useful here, for example, alcohol-free lotion with salicylic acid 0.5-1%. It is better to use it frequently and in minimal concentration than to attack the skin immediately with a high acid content, subjecting it to additional stress. For maximum effectiveness, this peel is best done after washing and applied to dry skin.
After thorough cleansing, you can move on to cosmetics, the action of which is directly aimed at combating inflammation.

The third stage is serum with antibacterial components (niacinamide, green tea, provitamin B5). Typically, these products have a light texture and fit perfectly into daily care. As for the frequency of use, it is better to consult with your doctor in order to find the ideal program and not harm the skin.
And, of course, never and under no circumstances should you forget about moisturizing - as you know, even the most oily skin needs it. It can be a regular moisturizer with a light texture, but if it is not enough (this happens especially often in autumn and winter), then you can also add a moisturizing serum to your daily care. It should be applied to the skin immediately after special acne products and before using the cream. If you feel that as a result of the treatment the skin dries, flakes and turns red, then try replacing just a moisturizer with a cream with ceramides: they will help restore the protective barrier and level the side effects of the treatment.
