Thousands of hairdressers and makeup artists dream of working on the appearance of the representatives of the royal family. On the one hand, this is a serious challenge, on the other, the best PR. But it seems so only at first glance: in fact, quite strict requirements are imposed on the royal hairdresser, and this is not only about professionalism. Here is what the hairdresser Joe Hunsford told about the peculiarities of working with the wife of the future king of Britain.

71-year-old Joe Hunsford started working with the legendary Vidal Sassoon, in 1993 she opened her salon in Mayfair and for the last 25 years has been monitoring the haircut and styling, condition and color of the Duchess of Cornwall. It was Jo who created Camilla's signature look - a bob, a shade of blonde and multi-layered strands, divided in the center of the forehead.

“Everything that happens in the salon is confidential. I have signed a confidentiality agreement with Clarence House stating that we will never disclose information about our clients. Richard Ward did Kate Middleton's hair for the wedding (read also: “How Kate Middleton from Ridicule Turned into Confident Lady”), and he got in trouble as he told everyone how he did (styling). You have to be diplomatic,”the lady told The Times.

Hunsford also works with celebrities such as Angelina Jolie and Nigela Lawson. According to the hairdresser, unlike her royal clients, some celebrities, such as Liz Hurley and Natalie Imbruglia, are not at all opposed to her talking about them to the press.
In 2013, Hunsford told the Telegraph journalist that she would never talk about personal things with the Duchess and would be “devastated” if she lost her as a client. “She has a fantastic sense of humor. You don't become close friends, but you build relationships and you know her hair perfectly. If the texture changes, you know how to correct the color,”said the lady who received the Order of the British Empire from Princess Anne in 2010.
