Frequent changes in body temperature during summer have a tangible effect on how the fragrance unfolds and lasts. When we are at a lower temperature, the notes of perfume do not come through so clearly. It is worth adding to your body activity, and even a long-applied aroma will sparkle with renewed vigor. Surely the following situation has happened to you: after long hours in the office "in an embrace" with a computer and a chair, you leave the building, vigorously walk on the way home and … start to hear your perfume, which was applied in the morning. And this is easy to explain: the substance of the perfume begins to work more intensively at an increased temperature of the applied surface.

However, temperature not only adds intensity to the aroma, but also changes its composition - from the predominance of sweet notes in it to the predominance of sour notes. For those whose perspiration works with a bang, we advise you to choose an exceptionally fresh-sounding perfume in the summer: it will keep the sweet notes. Be wary of woody and musk-based scents: sweat destroys the composition and is most often irreversible.
Application methods
In summer, the scent works out its sound faster, so at this time of the year it is appropriate to have a bottle of your favorite perfume with you and renew it as needed. It will be great if you spray a light haze on the back of your hair and renew the sound of the scent - easily and naturally both for yourself and for those around you: believe me, few people will be delighted with a soul from a heavy perfume on a sultry summer day. Instead of words of admiration, not the best wishes will flow. Therefore, the measure and light composition of the scent will become your best friends in the hot months.

And you really shouldn't forget about hair: a substance produced by the glands of the scalp helps to retain the scent throughout the day. And if you apply perfume to the ends of wet hair, you will achieve a much greater effect, because wet hair retains odors much better. Alternative way: apply perfume to a comb and run it along the entire length of the hair.

Instead of giving yourself a full, scented shower in the morning, take one or two puffs on your wrists. Repeat this procedure three to five times a day. The best zones for cherished zips are the zones of pulsation, in which heat is generated most intensively: the base of the throat, wrists, the back of the neck, under the knees, behind the auricles.

Layering will also be effective. Start by showering and thoroughly cleansing your skin. For this, products with a scent complementary to your perfume are perfect. Then apply a lotion similar in tone to your perfume. It is best to choose a product with one or two notes, otherwise more will become superfluous (read also: "Perfume mistakes that everyone (except professionals) makes"). After applying the lotion, apply one or two puffs to the pulsating areas. Try not to overdo it: the layering technique prepares your skin for repeated applications throughout the day, so that the fragrance stays fresh and vibrant for a long time.
Fragrances designed for summer
The universal rule is closer to nature. Choose light aromas: fruity, citrus, with a marine touch, bergamot, jasmine, coconut. For three summer months, we are definitely parting with heavy notes and lusciously sweet variations.

Spicy citrus notes
They are perfect for summer days. Among them: lemon, bergamot, grapefruit, pomegranate. We also pay attention to the pacifying earthy tones: for example, the smell of freshly cut grass - isn't it the most summery of the summer options for perfume?

Light floral notes
In this regard, the unambiguous primacy for white floral: jasmine extracts (read also: "Princess Diana's favorite aromas: citruses, spices, jasmine and an abundance of flowers"), frangipani, tuberose. During the heat, their bouquet is revealed more brightly and charmingly than ever. We also pay attention to peony, gardenia, green tea leaves. But forget about the floral notes with the participation of plum and rose: in addition to the heavy sound, they serve as an ideal "beacon" for insects. If you do not have enough deep notes, then it is better to give preference to medium-weight aromas: for example, vanilla, coconut or sandalwood. Herbal, earthy aromas are also worthy replacements for heavy notes.

Toilet water - only to help
If you have a favorite scent that you do not want and cannot refuse, bet on eau de toilette (or cologne) - the version of your perfume. Eau de toilette is diluted with water, so it does not lie down as hard as its older "brothers". Probably, it is “eau de toilette” that is worth giving away the first shelf of your summer perfumery wardrobe.
