If we take into account all possible (and sometimes impossible) trends, starting with magnetic eyelashes and ending with hydromechanical peeling (a hardware procedure for deep cleaning and skin rejuvenation), then there will be so many of them that you cannot count, and even less list. And who cares ?! We tried to sift through the options and decide in which directions to move, and what is worth spending our time on.

Keep it simple

K-beauty isn't going anywhere, but lengthy, multi-step treatments are giving way to something more convenient (which, frankly, should be expected). As long as you apply a different product each at its own time 24/7, the all-rounders are a step further. Scientists are unambiguous in their forecasts - further and in daily care, and in the composition of the formulas we will be guided by the paradoxical at first glance principle “the less, the more”. But a minimalistic approach and reasonable consumption does not mean at all a beauty austerity and a decrease in the degree of efficiency (and even pleasure). It's just, well, we are talking about very "hardworking" ingredients. In K-beauty it is sometimes called "skip care", that is, skipping some steps in the beauty routine, while maintaining the result through the most effective care products.

Superfoods, super leather

Green tea, spinach, kale, and turmeric are good for both your body and your skin. It is impossible not to notice how superfoods in the composition of funds "capture" the market. In particular, there is a lot of research and development going on with mushrooms right now, so I think we will soon discover even more beneficial benefits of this family. Mushroom-derived ingredients can already be found at Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Foundation and Glossier Moisturizer.

While “green beauty” has been on our radar for a while, “blue beauty” is the face of the future, according to Howe, who has created product lines for Rodial, Crabtree & Evelyn and Elizabeth Arden. Ocean-sourced blue ingredients such as Spirulina, along with amino acids and minerals, are known to provide tremendous beauty benefits to the skin, from preventing moisture loss to blocking free radicals (read also: Retinol, Soap & 5 More Tricks to Slow Down skin aging ").

On the rise

CBD mania is not going to slow down. The number of cannabidiol (cannabis) products that help with eczema, psoriasis, acne will only increase, and care products will become more effective. Hemp seeds contain a high (30–38%) concentration of fatty acids. In addition, they are rich in amino acids, vitamins and fiber, which makes hemp oil a very good ingredient for dry skin (read also: "Olive oil for skin and hair: 5 beauty life hacks"). Cannabidiol itself can regulate sebum production and has good anti-inflammatory effects. Most likely, we still do not yet understand the full range of possibilities of this ingredient and are not using all of its benefits. There is now a "crazy idea" that CBD is the magic ingredient, which can be added to any drug and wait for miracles. This, of course, is not a fact. More research is needed on its use. But one thing is indisputable - ahead of us are innovative products with more effective use of this ingredient.

You are the main thing

The biggest trend to note this year is custom beauty. Making beauty products (and fragrances) to order and an individual approach to each client is now a leading story in the politics of beauty brands. Check your email and you will likely notice that cosmetic brands are asking you to rate the chances of future lines developing. Customized skincare is a very important priority for emerging brands, including Skinsei, a new project under the Unilever wing, and Proven Beauty and AtollSkin Lab, which rely on artificial intelligence to create personalized skincare. Well, the BIY sets (blend it yourself) are still "ordering music". They promote the idea that everyone can create their own skincare recipe:easy to use and uncompromisingly individual. Each cook can, as it was said before, "run the state."

Refusal from plastic

The boom in transforming textures (this is when something solid turns into something liquid - gel or oil) is not accidental. Just imagine that with this approach you can ditch the plastic tubes and carry your favorite hand moisturizer in a tablet that simply dissolves between your fingers. Such products are actively developing. All over the world there is a slow but constant movement towards environmental friendliness, which is becoming a kind of "gold standard". Thanks to this development vector, brands are developing new products, taking into account their impact on the environment. What is good for our skin is good for the Earth!
