If ten to fifteen years ago 85% of procedures for changing or correcting appearance were carried out on the surgeon's table, today their number has decreased to 15%. Aesthetic cosmetology is a new trend due to the logical desire of patients to achieve maximum results with minimal effort and without any special pain.

Hyaluronic acid injections are one of the most popular procedures in aesthetic cosmetology. They help to restore youthfulness and elasticity to the skin. By the way, this substance is used in various fields. On its basis, they even make drugs for the treatment of oncology (intra-articular injections). However, it is most often used for cosmetic purposes.

What is hyaluronic acid and why is it needed

Hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan that is part of epithelial, nervous and connective tissue. It is found in a very small amount in the human body and plays an important role in maintaining immunity, moisturizing and restoring the skin. Unfortunately, over time, the amount of hyaluronic acid in the body decreases, which provokes aging and aging of the skin. Currently, there are many ways to restore the level of this substance in the body, including injection.

The use of creams, masks or injections involving hyaluronic acid helps to eliminate skin laxity, expression lines and other signs of aging, and also restores skin elasticity and tone (see also: Hyaluronic acid - a recipe for eternal youth).

Is hyaluronic acid safe

In connection with the increased popularity of hyaluronic acid injections, the question arose about its safety for the human body. We decided to find out the answer and asked a question to familiar beauty experts.

Hyaluronic acid-based creams and masks are absolutely safe. But the effect that hyaluronic acid produces in creams has absolutely nothing to do with the effect of injections. The hyaluronic acid cream creates a film on the surface of the skin, which helps the skin not to lose moisture. Hyaluronic acid in fillers and mesotherapeutic preparations has a completely different effect. Due to the fact that hyaluronic acid is produced by the body naturally, when a drug based on it is injected into the dermis, the acid harmoniously integrates into metabolic processes, stimulates the production of fibroblasts, creates volume, and then is gradually destroyed and excreted naturally.

If we are talking about drugs for injection, then the question of fair manufacturing arises. In our laboratories, we develop formulas for preparations based on hyaluronic acid without the use of chemicals, we achieve stabilization due to pressure. Unfortunately, there are many chemical filler technologies that can be toxic and cause side effects. Conscientious companies purify fillers or control the amount of chemical reagents at an acceptable safe level. But there are some manufacturers (in particular, Chinese) that do not purify drugs.
