I chose these options because they are quite popular and have a solid theoretical basis. Despite significant differences, these diets aim to improve and - as a natural consequence - to lose weight, beauty and vitality. It seems to me that the choice of diet is a personal matter for each person, the main thing is to understand how much food affects your health and appearance. Conscious eating is the first step towards beauty and good mood.

Paleo diet

This diet is based on the theory that the human body is adapted to consume only the food that our cave ancestors supposedly ate during the Paleolithic era. That is, a person cannot normally digest the processed and cultivated foods that form the basis of most modern diets.

Acceptable foods include organic meat, wild fish, poultry, eggs, nuts, fruits and vegetables. In addition, healthy fats (olive oil, fish, avocado oil) are recommended.

Completely excludes dairy products, grains, legumes, starch, alcohol, processed foods, sugar and sweeteners.

In my opinion, a significant drawback of this diet is that some useful food groups remain outside its scope. Yes, the Paleo diet excludes processed and unhealthy foods, which are often associated with inflammation and chronic disease (cardiovascular disease, diabetes, joint pain). However, it prohibits cereals, and they are rich in complex carbohydrates. This can lead to frequent hunger.

Jessica Biel, Miley Cyrus, Megan Fox, Eva Larue and Matthew McConaughey call themselves adherents of this diet.

Paleo diet for the day

Breakfast: scrambled eggs with broccoli, bell pepper, zucchini.

Lunch: cauliflower soup, cutlets or steak with baked vegetables (peppers, fennel, spiced carrots).

Dinner: salmon garnished with baked green beans.

Snacks: nuts, berry smoothies, avocados.

Vegan diet

This diet is only suitable for those who are ready to radically change their diet, since it completely eliminates animal products - from meat to honey. But this diet is rich in cereals, fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts and vegetable oils.

A well thought out and balanced vegan diet is one of the healthiest and, by the way, leads to natural weight loss. Thanks to the large amount of plant foods, it is high in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fiber. At the same time, it contains much less harmful substances, the consumption of which must be reduced by everyone: sodium, saturated fat and simple carbohydrates.

However, if the approach to the diet is shallow, the diet is not balanced and not too varied, you run the risk of deficiencies in protein and nutrients (such as calcium, iron, and vitamins B12 and D).

In my opinion, this option is only suitable for very purposeful people with exceptional willpower. Among the celebrities, Bill Clinton, Carrie Underwood, Al Gore, Natalie Portman and Mike Tyson adhere to it.

Daily Vegan Diet

Breakfast: boiled buckwheat with quinoa, homemade hummus, avocado, fresh cucumber. Freshly squeezed juice from lemon, celery, carrots in equal parts.

Lunch: a large portion of fresh vegetables and herbs salad, seasoned with unrefined sunflower oil, broccoli puree soup.

Dinner: assorted vegetables (peppers, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, zucchini) cooked using the quick fry method - stir fry with soy sauce or buckwheat noodles (soba) with the same set of vegetables.

Snacks: nuts and fruits, including avocados.

LCHF, or Low Carb High Fat Diet

The key principle of the LCHF (Low Carb High Fat) diet is not to exclude or reduce carbohydrates from the diet, but to consume more fat. The secret is that the human body burns fat much slower than carbohydrates, but without much stress.

This food system allows all types of meat and fish, eggs, fatty and natural sauces, dairy products, nuts and berries, etc. It's hard to say that it is very limiting in something! You will have to completely abandon sugar, starch (and products where they are contained) and fruits.

This seems like a good idea to me, especially when it comes to cutting down on fast carbs. However, it is very important to balance fats, proteins and carbohydrates in the right proportion for each individual.

Judging by the information in the press, Jennifer Aniston, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jeri Halliwell, Ben Affleck and Gwyneth Paltrow are trying so hard to eat.

Macrobiotic diet

A macrobiotic diet is not just a diet, it is a whole philosophy of life.

The diet is based on whole grains and grains: wild rice, buckwheat, barley, millet, oats, rye - and supplemented with soy products, local (seasonal) vegetables, fruits, foods with no or very low fat, small amounts of fish and seafood …

Macrobiotic dieters avoid highly processed and refined foods, as well as animal products. In addition to products, their combination, season, cooking method and even how many times you chew food before swallowing are important.

Demi Moore, Pamela Anderson, Madonna, Tom Cruise, Alicia Silverstone adhere to the macrobiotic diet.

Macrobiotic diet for the day

Breakfast: green tea and oatmeal on the water.

Lunch: miso soup, large portion of wild rice with fermented vegetables.

Dinner: baked fish, salad with tofu dressing.

Snack: dried fruits and nuts.

Flexitarian diet

The name comes from a combination of English words flexible - "flexible" and vegetarian - "vegetarian". Followers of this diet tend to be vegetarians "most of the time." This diet aims to replace meat with non-meat sources of protein, such as tofu, legumes, beans, lentils, nuts, and seeds. The flexibility of flexitarianism is that the occasional consumption of meat - organic and lean - is not prohibited.

Studies have shown that vegetarians tend to weigh less than meat eaters. What's more, vegetarian diets help keep your heart healthy thanks to their lower saturated fat and cholesterol content and abundant fiber and plant proteins.
