We spend huge sums of money every month on anti-wrinkle creams and procedures to prolong youth. But the most miraculous remedies will not help if you do not monitor your diet. Let's talk about the intake of which "dishes" should be reduced to a minimum in order to compete with nature for their natural beauty.

Sugar

Forget about cakes and sweets: getting into the body, sugar "sticks" to the fibers of proteins (including collagen and elastin, which are responsible for the elasticity of the skin) and binds them together, which makes them lose their functionality. This process is called glycation, and the end products of glycosylation (those same sugar-bound proteins) are AGEs (Advanced Glycation Endproducts). AGEs accelerate the aging process, in particular the appearance and deepening of wrinkles. It is believed that the glycation process is irreversible, that is, it is no longer possible to "separate" proteins back. So the best thing to do is to safeguard yourself with a sugar embargo: stop adding sugar to coffee and tea and reduce your intake of sweets (also read: "20 sugar substitutes in the kitchen").

"Harmful" additives (trans fats)

Trans fats harm not only the figure, but also the face: they literally clog the arteries and blood vessels, which makes it difficult to transport nutrients and nutrients through them, and the skin begins to suffer from a lack of valuable trace elements and oxygen, and soon ─ look lifeless and flabby (cardiovascular disease is attached to a not-so-comforting beauty diagnosis). A very large amount of trans fats is found in margarine, chips, various fast food and pastries, and all of the above is a good reason to give up these dubious minute gastronomic pleasures.

Salt

Where there is a lot of salt, there is always little water: salt retains water, and the amount of moisture in the cells of the body (including the skin) is sharply reduced. Forced forced dehydration makes the kidneys (and other organs and systems of the body) work in sos-mode, and there it is not far from chronic diseases. Excess salt also affects the appearance in a bad way: due to the retention of excess fluid, edema appears, and due to metabolic disorders ─ acne. By the way, flabbiness, dryness and gray skin color also determines the large amount of salt in the diet. You need it? Of course not (read also: "Excess water: 9 foods that relieve swelling").

Refined oil

Another key to youthfulness is completely eliminating refined and processed oils and fats from the diet. The whole essence of refined oil lies in the chemical distillation process, which cleans it of harmful additives, simultaneously destroying the harsh aroma and giving it a beautiful color. Alas, the second side of the coin lies in the fact that in refined oil, in fact, there is nothing natural useful - only vegetable fat and artificial additives, which it was enriched with during thermal purification. Such "industrial" oils increase cholesterol levels, clog blood vessels and interfere with the smooth functioning of the hormonal system. Increased production of sebum, rashes and inflammation, an unhealthy complexion are only part of the consequences of this. Unrefined oil, especially cold-pressed oil, is many times healthier (albeit more aromatic), therefore, sunflower, olive, rapeseed, corn, linseed and other oils should be chosen just like that.

Energy

Let's remember the killer combination of salt, sugar and caffeine, flavored with not the most useful additives - there is no need to look for benefits in energy drinks, as in many carbonated drinks. But let's think about this: Energy drinks are very harmful to the enamel of your teeth, eroding it 8 times stronger than regular baking soda. By consuming energy drinks every other day, or even worse, every day, you run the risk of never showing a Hollywood smile again, so be able to stop on time. And, of course, we must not forget about the dehydration that such drinking causes: lack of moisture makes the skin dry, pale and, alas, wrinkled. We are urgently exchanging carbonated and energy drinks for clean drinking water!

Alcohol

Everything is pretty obvious here: alcohol dehydrates the body, destroys collagen fibers and drastically reduces the amount of antioxidants that are responsible for youth, strikes the liver. The skin becomes more susceptible to oxidative processes, flabby and earthy. And alcohol (especially strong) perfectly stimulates the appetite, so one "glass" or one "glass" may well remove the restrictions on everything that we talked about above. However, 150 ml of dry red wine during a meal is not at all the embodiment of universal evil: just remember that you need to drink wine without sugar, and then do not forget about a couple of glasses of water, which you must drink to replenish the fluid supply (read also: “How to avoid the wine face effect”).
