What is chiromassage?
Chiromassage, or Spanish massage, is the "invention" of the Spanish physician Enrique Garcia Castells. It is based on a technique proposed at the beginning of the 20th century by a naturopathic physician Ferrandis, the founder of the Spanish school of massage, which is aimed not only at the physical, but also at the psycho-emotional state of a person.

The basic principle of Spanish massage is the simultaneous effect on all body systems (lymphatic, circulatory and nervous), as well as on muscles and joints. And since the state of each person is unique, then the massage technique in each case is selected individually.
Translated from Latin, "chiro" means "hand", so chiromassage is performed not only with the fingers and palm, as in classical techniques, but also with the forearms, without using any auxiliary instruments.

We share detailed instructions for the technique of chiromassage:

Immediately before the session, make-up and dirt should be washed off from the face, neck and décolleté area. If desired, you can treat the skin with a toning lotion - the massage will enhance its effect.

2. Application of oil
Hands should slide easily over the skin, so be sure to apply a large amount of oil on the palm of your hand. If not enough, massage will lead to the formation of new wrinkles and creases.
3. Self-massage
The first stage is muscle relaxation. It is achieved through soft and light stroking movements for 15-20 minutes along the massage lines.

The second stage is lymphatic drainage. It is necessary to reduce tissue swelling and activate lymph flow. Lymphatic drainage massage is performed along the massage lines from the bottom up. Particular attention should be paid to the lymph nodes - in their area, pressure should be minimal (see also: "Lymphatic drainage massage and other measures against the age of the body").
