But that is another story.
As you know, smells and tastes that we encounter in childhood become the cause of nostalgic thoughts and memories in adulthood. For François, such a permanent object of passion was Bay Rum - a lotion that stood on the shelf in his father's pharmacy.
“Although I do not thoroughly remember the smell of Bay Rum lotion, famous during my childhood, I remember very well what the bottle looked like when it was on the shelf in my father's pharmacy and piqued my curiosity. Its very name attracted to distant wanderings to palm trees and tropical seas. You literally felt the spray of the sea breeze and the thick smell of spices in the air with your skin,”says Demachy.
The after-shave disinfectant awakened in the boy a serious thirst for travel, instilled a love for the exoticism of hot countries and, in the end, was reborn in the olfactory pyramid of the perfumer's new creation.
The main party in the sound of the aroma went to spices, which were selected according to the criterion of maximum compatibility. Their warming singing harmoniously merges with a unique polyphony of spices: Russian coriander, Indonesian nutmeg, Madagascar black pepper and Chinese cinnamon. Piquant accents - woody, lemon, ginger and alluring musky - bring order to this hot polyphony.
The main intrigue of the fragrance and its lucky star is Roma absolute. Imagine a combo of fresh burnt sugar and a delicious baba and you will immediately understand why this fragrance is doomed to become a favorite on the perfume shelf of any strong woman.
