Until now, Korea has been the main supplier of beauty trends: multi-stage care, masks with mucin, essences and serums with extracts of rare Asian plants - we have heard about all this for a long time, and only the lazy did not have time to try the care system with ten or more products. But times change, and the beauty industry, as we know, never stands still. So you will hardly be surprised if we say that China is becoming a real trendsetter today. What fresh trends from the Middle Kingdom are worth trying first of all, says Anna Dycheva, General Director of Reed Exhibitions Russia.
Jade & Quartz Body Combs
The new trend #bodycombing (literally - “combing the body”) promotes, according to the manufacturers, lymphatic drainage and detoxification, improving blood circulation. And these are not empty words: jade really helps to relieve puffiness, relax muscles and even out skin tone. Rose quartz has long been popular with many celebrities who know firsthand about its lifting properties and the ability to improve microcirculation in skin cells. China actively exports jade: in the Celestial Empire, this mineral is considered the best remedy for rejuvenation and detoxification, responsible for harmony and balance, and rose quartz is for awakening the energy of love and opening the chakras.

Experts in Chinese culture say that “combing the body” is an ancient procedure that helps unblock energy channels, renew skin, body and mind. These combs are used with oils, care products, or just water. These can be purchased from the #bodycombing brands. Simpler options can be bought on Alibaba, and significantly cheaper. You can also find a huge number of training videos on the Internet that show how to use jade and quartz combs at home.
Gua Sha Plates, Rollers and Jade Masks
You have probably noticed that almost all Chinese women, regardless of age, wear a bracelet with a round solid jade on their wrist. As already mentioned, the Chinese have been treating this mineral with reverence for 7000 years. Real jade is comparable in price to gold and diamonds, and the Chinese believe that it can protect body and soul from imbalance and evil. So a jade mask at the end of the working day for the fair sex in China is a sacred beauty ritual.
What is gua-sha? This is both an ancient Chinese massage technique and a beauty device. If we translate this phrase literally, we get "gua" - "movement in one direction", "sha" - "bad". Translated into understandable Russian, we get: "we remove all the bad." Gua Sha massage is carried out with special plates of minerals along the massage lines of the face and body. Experts confirm that it helps to improve microcirculation in the skin and normalize lymph flow (see also: "Lymphatic drainage massage and other measures against body age").

Total-red
Recently, Chinese red has gained particular popularity in cosmetics, so we can see a large number of beauty launches dedicated to one single color (and its shades) - red. It is he who is one of the most important and beloved flowers for the Chinese, is considered the most pure, sacred and carries a powerful energy charge. A symbol of happiness, good luck, red in Chinese culture is the only color that can scare away demons. In our case, demons are aging.

Special ingredients
Ginseng, rice, green tea, bamboo, red sandalwood, asiatica centella - all these ingredients have been known in Chinese traditional medicine for centuries, and now they have actively migrated into the composition of skin care products. In this sense, Chinese women are very lucky: all of the above components are always at hand, so they have to think much less about salon procedures and beauty shopping. Plants and crops growing in China are a real godsend for anti-aging medicine, and today they are the main components of anti-aging cosmetics from the world's first brands.

Care according to the principles of acupuncture
Acupuncture is a trend in traditional Chinese medicine, in which the body is healed by activating specific points on the body's surface located along important energy channels (see also: "Spot healing: what you need to know about acupuncture"). The procedure is carried out by acupuncture and helps to normalize a whole range of internal processes. Today, acupuncture is actively used by many beauty brands: this is how the trend emerged for tissue acupuncture masks that affect facial points and increase microcirculation in the deep layers of the dermis. Plasters with special balls for gluing on problem areas of the body have also become popular.
