Every year (and for more than thirty years now) members of the international and Russian jury of the Prix d'Excellence de lBeaute Marie Claire make a small feat: they remember countless cosmetic novelties and select 10 best care and make-up products, which we will not be able to do without in the near future (read also: Cosmetic Oscar 2020: How was the Prix d'Excellence de lBeauté award). In our review, we talk about each of the winners of this year and share how they feel about using them.
1. International Prize: Primer for face and body Face & Body Primer Dior Backstage, DIOR

“I was pleasantly surprised by the versatility of Dior Backstage products. Face & Body Primer can be applied to the face and body, mixed with foundation or used alone. I also mastered the Face & Body Glow highlighter from the same range of products. It can be applied to cheekbones, eyelids, décolleté and even lips. Thanks to its liquid texture, it adheres flawlessly to the skin and gives it a soft natural glow.
I was already ready to call him my favorite, but I remembered that the primer and highlighter have to pass the most important test - the test of durability. Since my life schedule can be completely unpredictable, it is important for me that my makeup looks perfect not only at morning office meetings, but also at unplanned evening events. After a week of use, I can say with confidence that the product has confidently entered my beauty top.
The most delicate texture that does not leave a sticky film on the skin (unfortunately, this was the hallmark of my previous experiments with various serums), a pleasant aroma and a visible result (the office "tan" has disappeared from the skin, it has become denser and tighter) - an absolute must for any time of the year ".
3. International Prize: Ultra-light fluid tint Les Beiges Eau de Teint, CHANEL

“It is a very light, weightless fluid, like a gel, with little brown balls inside. When applied with the supplied brush, these balls burst, transforming into a uniform texture, which allows the fluid to even out the skin, slightly toning and highlighting it. The product seemed "lighter" than BB and CC creams, so it is unlikely to hide strong imperfections. Its main task is to moisturize and even out the tone, and it does it well. It was more convenient for me to apply it with my hand rather than with a brush. But it all depends on habit. The product on the skin is not felt at all from the word and - importantly - does not roll down in the corners of the eyes. For the warm season, when you don't want to overload the skin, this fluid is best suited."
4. International Prize: Lipstick Rouge Pur Couture The Slim, YSL BEAUTE

“To be honest, for me the selection of a foundation always turns into a real quest. Since I am the owner of very thin, light and, in addition, sensitive skin, many products do not suit me - they turn out to be too "heavy" and dense, then godlessly dry the skin, then roll around the eyes, then they simply do not even out the tone enough.
At Fond de Teint L'Essentiel, there were practically no shortcomings - despite the rather dense texture, the product spreads well and easily over the skin, moisturizes it and “tinted” it perfectly. Another important point - the tone does not leave shine, which also pleased me. The only "but" for those who are ready to try the new product - in my opinion, the product should not be used in hot weather (it will be "hard" for the skin), so for a vacation in exotic countries it is better to choose something easier - for example, a fluid."
6. International Prize: Garnier Bio Organic Skin Care Line, GARNIER

“For me Garnier Bio turned out to be a real set of magic (yes, I'm not kidding!) Beauty elixirs. Honestly, I appreciated and found application for each product from the line: mycelial water, which can remove makeup of any density and soothe irritated skin, was very useful after a corporate party; bio-tonic with cumin and menthol - pleasantly invigorates in the morning; Lavender oil with an incredible scent moisturizes even the driest skin. I am sure that at least a few products will definitely settle in your bathroom for a long time."

“Most of the time I prefer nude lipstick shades, but if the mood is right, I'm not against experimenting. So, in addition to the classic red shades, I can sometimes afford rich lavender or wine-burgundy. Almost all of my favorite colors are featured in Gucci's new Rouge à Lèvres matte lipstick collection. Thanks to the moisturizing formula, all lipsticks are easy to apply and do not dry out the lips. And finally, a pleasant bonus, in my opinion, is the floral aroma of the products. In short, the Rouge à Lèvres collection is literally saturated with aesthetics and sophistication - an absolute must-have of this season."
8. Prize of the Russian jury. Care: Renewed line of anti-age products Benefiance, SHISEIDO

“For a test drive, I got three products from the range - an eye cream, an emulsion and a serum. I immediately decided to work out a certain scheme of use - in the morning and in the evening I applied an eye cream, before going to bed I used a serum, and after waking up and washing my face - an emulsion. Intuition did not disappoint me - I noticed the effect literally after a couple of days of testing the funds. Skin tone evened out, redness and swelling disappeared. Another significant plus for me personally was the texture of all three products - no stickiness or tightness, all products are absorbed quite quickly. And after using the emulsion, it is incredibly pleasant to apply makeup - the skin becomes ideally ready for the make-up routine."
9. Prize of the Russian jury. New Level: Correcting Face Cream CC Dull Correct, ERBORIAN

“I have been using Erborian products for a long time: I especially love their face masks and décolleté cream. But now is not about that. Frankly speaking, before I did not really share the enthusiasm about different BB, CC and DD creams, although they were born and actively multiplied literally before my eyes (the first swallows appeared just at the beginning of my career as a glossy journalist). And the point here was not at all in professional skepticism, but in the fact that I personally needed a rather serious skin covering, and not just an "invisible veil" or "weightless haze."
As you know, freckles have become a beauty trend relatively recently (now they are painstakingly painted and even "stuffed" on the face), so I, like many other girls, have tried for many years to hide the treacherous brown scatter on the bridge of the nose and cheeks. In a word, in my cosmetic bag there were always dense tones, and it was scary to move to another "weight category". But I was afraid in vain. CC Dull Correct Correcting Face Cream proved to be very comfortable: it lay perfectly on top of the serum, did not roll under the fingers and did not leave purple streaks (in his case, the purple pigment muffles redness and makes the skin bright).
But the main thing was that the resulting complexion exceeded all my expectations. Of course, the freckles have not disappeared anywhere (although now I myself do not want to), but they became softer, as if someone had reduced the contrast and put a soft filter on the face with a pleasant glow. I still go for heavy artillery for evening outings, but I only use CC Dull Correct during the day.
10. Prize of the Russian jury. Ethics Prize: BIOTHERM Oceans Initiatives

“Product testing dropped out just at the time of my vacation. I went to the mountains, because the new sun protection line from Biotherm was very useful to me. The set included two products: Biotherm Waterlover Sun Milk SPF30 cream and Biotherm Waterlover Sun Mist SPF 30 spray mist.
