
The new fragrance, which has just arrived at the brand's boutique, already has its own long and unusual history. That is how, Heures d'Absence, was the name of the very first fragrance of the House of Louis Vuitton, which appeared at the height of the Roaring Twenties. Admiration for the achievements of aviation, a passion for travel and the name of the ancestral estate of the Vuitton family in the south of France - all this inspired the creation of a fragrance in a bottle decorated with a touching airplane and a kilometer scale, which in 1927 in the amount of 300 pieces became available only to a select public.

The idea behind the scent was that not a single thought, except for a crazy one, held you back from the desire to jump off and go on an unplanned trip - fortunately, the plane of any company and Louis Vuitton luggage are always at your service. Despite the distance of a century, the idea has not lost its relevance to this day. The only problem was that the perfume archives of the House were partially lost and no information on the composition of the scent was preserved anymore.

Deciding to revive the fragrance, the in-house perfumer of the House, Jacques Cavalier Beltrud, acted instinctively: calling for the chant of freedom, he turned into an irresistible whirlwind of flowers that will not leave you throughout your unplanned journey. The following notes will help you immediately jump out of the spot: Grasse jasmine, May rose, Provencal mimosa and curly pittosporum, whose fragrant flowers signify the coming of spring on the French Riviera. Using extraction with carbon dioxide, it turned out to preserve the incredibly true aromas of all colors of the composition. And so that the desperate, but at the same time, tender soul of this bouquet did not disappear, it was protected with a transparent wrap made of musk and sandalwood.
