On March 26, British brand ghd celebrated International Good Hair Day and revealed the secret of its acronym. The English idiom "good hair day" is used when the whole day is going well - including styling. We decided to figure out how appearance affects the mood and motivation of successful modern ladies and asked several questions to the famous theater and film actress Elena Podkaminskaya.
How do you take care of your hair on a daily basis? What check-out points do you never miss?
I choose products that nourish and moisturize my hair, especially conditioners and masks. I am always looking for a gentle and deeply moisturizing treatment, so that the hair does not weigh down and the ends are nourished. By the way, I noticed that periodic haircuts work best - literally two to three millimeters, and the ends become livelier and healthier.
Do you have universal styling options that do not take much of your time and always save you in difficult times?
I dream of learning how to do my own styling, but so far my maximum is to apply the right products so that my hair is not too porous. Actually my favorite styling is at sea. There is high humidity and hair without any styling becomes wavy, light and soft.

How much does your mood and productivity depend on a well done styling?
For me, styling is a significant component of both mood and self-awareness. Hair is always a more complex story than makeup, and finding the perfect professional is not an easy task. In my experience, there were completely hopeless cases when I was about to step out into the frame, but I was sitting in the dressing room and realized that the styling was a complete disaster and everything needed to be fixed urgently. It also happens that in some projects, the implementation of the hairstyle "falls" into the image not immediately, but only after a while, with the arrival of a new master. A true professional always has a subtle sense of all the details and nuances, so I look to the last, if I understand that the master cannot cope.
When a complete fiasco comes out with hair and, accordingly, with the image as a whole, the work is completely unpleasant. Of course, sometimes I can be terribly demanding and even unpleasant for some masters, but if we have a coincidence, I really appreciate it and try not to let such people go far away from me.
What does good hair day mean to you?
Good hair day for me is wind in my hair, easy styling, sun in the sky and family nearby.
Larisa Himalieva, ghd brand ambassador: how to repeat Elena Podkaminskaya's favorite hairstyle?

If you have naturally porous, curly hair like Elena's, it is very easy to create beach waves:
Apply WellProfessionals Ocean Spritz EIMI Mineral Texturizing Spray to towel-dried and lightly combed hair, crumple it in your hands, then use a ghd helios diffuser to remove the first moisture and dry naturally.

If you have straight hair, the following styling option will work
To create natural, soft waves, you need to divide your hair into 6-8 sections, braid not too tight braids, so that the structure of future waves looks natural. Warm them up from top to bottom with the ghd platinum + styler, paying attention to every inch of braids. After they have cooled, they can be unraveled and, if desired, fixed with a light hairspray. This version of beach waves can be easily and quickly created at home.

For a more voluminous and textured styling, try the following technique:
Separate a strand about a centimeter thick. Grab it at the bottom with the ghd platinum + styler and move up a couple of centimeters towards you. Then turn the styler 180 degrees and pull back the strand. Form the beach curls by repeating the broken movements that resemble a sea wave. Repeat this process for all strands, and apply WellProfessionals Sugar Lift Sugar Spray to hair for volume and tactile texture. Let it dry a little and then lightly parse the curls with your hands.
