A few days ago, representatives of the House announced the start of production of several hundred thousand bottles of water-alcohol hand gel at the ICR factory in Lodi. They will be redirected to the most needy medical institutions in Italy. But this is not the end of the humanitarian activities of the brand: Bvlgari representatives are in a hurry to announce that, on behalf of the brand, assistance will be provided to the authorities of the canton of Neuchâtel in Switzerland to fight COVID-19.
“As an economic entity in Switzerland, especially in the canton of Neuchâtel, Bvlgari considers it its responsibility to contribute to the fight against the COVID-19 virus, its prevention and eradication. Thanks to our experience in the field of perfumery, we - together with ICR - have developed a disinfectant hydroalcoholic gel, which begins to produce a factory in Lodi (usually producing our prestigious perfumery and cosmetic sets for hotels, developed by the international cosmetics center Bvlgari in Neuchâtel). Realizing the complexity of the current situation, we feel obligated to use our experience and production facilities to help fight COVID-19,”says Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of the Bvlgari Group, who is himself a resident of the canton of Neuchâtel.
From April 10, about three thousand pieces of hydro-alcoholic gel (in 75 ml recyclable bottles) will be transferred to the Neuchâtel hospital network, which unites 7 hospitals. Over the next two months, Bvlgari plans to produce hundreds of thousands of bottles for RHNe, and, if capacity allows, to distribute the donation for Neuchâtel to other cantons.
