It's no secret that the best "make-up" is beautiful and radiant skin, but it is possible to achieve such a state if you not only properly care for your skin, but also follow certain hygiene rules, which have become especially relevant now.
You can buy expensive care, take courses of procedures from a beautician, but it is always important to remember that many problems arise primarily from ignorance of the basics of makeup and improper cleansing, which lead to skin contact with bacteria, and subsequently to inflammation. Olga Romanova, make-up artist and creator of the Romanovamakeup brand, shares some helpful tips to help reduce the risk of exposure to negative environmental factors.
Rule 1. The most important rule in makeup hygiene is clean hands and skin
Before starting your makeup, make sure your hands are clean, your skin is well cleansed and ready for make-up. At home, it is enough to wash your hands with soap, cleanse your skin with a cleanser suitable for your skin type, walk with a moisturizing lotion and apply day care. Only then can you start applying makeup.
If you want to touch up your makeup during the day, but you can't wash your hands, use an antiseptic hand spray. And of course, the main rule: thoroughly cleanse your skin before bed using micellar water, specialized cleansers and disposable discs.

Rule 2. Don't forget to clean sponges and beauty blenders
Don't assume that if you're not a professional makeup artist and you're the only one using your sponge or beauty blender, they don't need to be cleaned. The spongy structure, into which the cosmetic product enters, is a potential breeding ground for bacteria. Therefore, after each application of makeup, it is very important to rinse them with soap and water.
Dry the sponge before reuse. It takes a lot of time, so you need to have at least 2-3 sponges or beauty blenders every day, or just use disposable sponges. Little life hack: beauty blenders can be machine washed in a lingerie bag using the delicate wash cycle. After that, be sure to dry the beauties in a dry place at room temperature.
Rule 3. Special attention - cleaning brushes
Brushes also need to be cleaned regularly. In addition to protecting against bacteria, this allows them to extend their life and avoid mixing shades if you use different foundations. After each application of the make-up, you need to clean the brushes with a special spray: it not only rinses them, but also disinfects them. Remember to wash your brushes regularly with shampoo (also read: "5 Makeup Brushes You Can't Do Without"). After that, the brushes, as well as the sponges, must be dried well. If you cannot use a clean brush every time, for some products, such as eyeshadow and lipstick, they can be replaced with disposable cotton swabs.

Rule 4. Grind pencils
It is very simple to “secure” make-up-means pencils: grind the lead with a sharpener before each use. This will allow not only to cut off the layer that is already in contact with the skin, and therefore may be infected with bacteria, but also greatly simplify the application and correction of makeup.
Rule 5. Disinfect make-up products used by another person
If you don't have any special skin cleansers on hand, the easiest and most efficient way to replace them is to use an antiseptic spray. It can be sprayed on lipstick, pencil and even powder. This is the minimum requirement when using makeup products belonging to another person. If, for example, you borrowed lipstick to your best friend, it is very important to spray it with an antiseptic spray when you get your beauty product back.
