The popularity of plastic surgery is directly related to the star Olympus. And this is not surprising, because the Internet, cinema and television now and then show us images that, whatever one may say, we really want to be equal. And if in the last century women could afford a hairstyle like Brigitte Bardot, a dress like Sophia Loren, a mole like Marilyn Monroe, then with the onset of the 90s, more and more girls began to resort to plastic surgery in order to achieve their ideal. Together with the plastic surgeon Alexander Vdovin, we remembered which stars were the first patients of plastic surgeons and set the trend for cardinal beauty transformations.
In the beginning there was Marilyn …
Marilyn Monroe became one of the first Hollywood actresses to seek help from plastic surgeons. But before her, of course, there were actresses who dared to make drastic changes in appearance for the sake of a career. For example, 40s star Rita Hayworth has resorted to destroying hair follicles with electricity (electrolysis) all her life to make her forehead look taller and meet Hollywood beauty standards. In addition, she constantly bleached her skin and dyed her hair red. There were always rumors about Marlene Dietrich that she owed her outlined cheekbones not to Mother Nature, but to a specially carried out extraction of molars.
Against the background of these transformations, the desire of the young Norma Jean Baker to correspond to the Hollywood ideals of beauty is quite justified: the girl dreamed of becoming an actress and was ready to go to great lengths for this. In particular, she underwent several operations to correct the shape of her nose and underwent mentoplasty (chin plasty), which allowed her to get rid of the characteristic dimple and give her chin a more rounded shape. For this, a sea sponge implant was implanted into it. Marilyn, following the example of Rita Hayworth, visually enlarged the forehead area with the help of electrolysis, changing the hairline.
Looking at the charming Marilyn Monroe, the fair sex boldly turned into platinum blondes and decided on rhinoplasty. The slightly wide snub nose, which nature has awarded a Hollywood celebrity, made her face plain. Changing its shape, Marilyn became outwardly brighter and more interesting. Following her, many actresses dyed blonde and began to do rhinoplasty. Among them was, for example, the popular French star of the 50s and 60s, who shone in “The Three Musketeers” and “Fantômas”, Mylene Demongeot.
Today rhinoplasty is one of the top operations, which are used by almost all aspiring Hollywood stars. At one time it was made by Heather Locklear, Britney Spears, Kelly Cuoco, Tara Reid, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Aniston, Rihanna, Jennifer Lawrence, Blake Lovely. Rhinoplasty is one of the most popular operations in the world, and only breast augmentation can compete with it.
Women's breasts have always been central to cinematic aesthetics, but Rescuers Malibu has drawn particular attention to them. He not only glorified Pamela Anderson and her first fourth and then fifth breast size, but also showed all other women that if they want to be beautiful and sexy, nothing is impossible for them.
Of course, before the "Rescuers Malibu" American women resorted to breast surgery quite actively, but after this series, beautiful breasts became a real trend. Since the release of the series, it has already been difficult to find a star who would voluntarily refuse mammoplasty. Some celebrities, including Pamela Anderson herself, have gone from small breasts to large and very large, and then to natural-sized breasts. Among the latter were Victoria Beckham and Drew Barrymore.
Narrowing the waist
A thin waist for several centuries has been the main concern of all the fairer sex - in order to get it, they, without sparing themselves, wore tight corsets (see also: "Wasp waist: 6 interesting facts from the history of corsets"). It is believed that one of the first actresses who resorted to removing ribs in order to obtain a wasp waist and beautiful figure lines was Marilyn Monroe. Perhaps this is so, but she was not the first!
Let's not forget that before the advent of Marilyn, the tone in the beauty industry was set by the undeservedly forgotten model Betty Brosmer - an incredibly attractive girl with a really wasp waist. Betty has flaunted on the covers of magazines and in numerous commercials, clearly demonstrating how a representative of the fair sex of her time should look. Thanks to her, such a popular art style as pin-up has acquired and does not lose its relevance to this day, especially among the strong half of humanity. Betty Brosmer was his queen. Many models and aspiring actresses are said to have breathed a sigh of relief when they learned that pin-up star Betty Brosmer had decided to end her modeling career. But they did not cease to be equal to her, and the proof of this is the operations to narrow the waist, which were resorted to by such stars as Jane Fonda. Demi Moore, Janet Jackson, Cher, Madonna.
Today, the technology of waist narrowing surgery has undergone significant changes: it is no longer necessary to remove ribs for this. Another, more gentle technique appeared, which was proposed by a surgeon from Russia - Dr. Kudzaev. As a result, now it is to Russia that people come from abroad to get the coveted thin waist.
Gluteoplasty (buttock plastic)
Until J. Lo, no one thought about the fact that their own buttocks can be insured for a tidy sum. The actress not only drew public attention to her "fifth point", but also made it a real trend, showing that sexuality is not only about large breasts. Since that time, the prominent buttocks have become in fact the hallmark of Jennifer Lopez, who inspired Kim Kardashian to look at herself from the other side. So we can say that Kim has already gone along the beaten path, which was once paved by J. Lo.
Of course, she did not insure her buttocks. Why repeat yourself? She just brought them into a cult. Both in the first star and in the second, the buttocks look so perfect that it is simply impossible not to suspect them of surgical intervention. The implants are placed under the gluteus muscle, and from time to time the shape is masked with autologous fat (lipofilling) obtained by liposuction. In such a simple way, you can kill two birds with one stone: maintain a slim figure and at the same time make the forms more appetizing (read also: "The same push-up: the most important and interesting thing about buttocks plastics").
Contour correction with fillers
J. Lo introduced fashion not only to voluminous buttocks. She was one of the first stars to use fillers to correct facial contours and early age changes. Thanks to Jennifer Lopez, such a fashionable aesthetic procedure as female facial beautification appeared. Another American celebrity, Angelina Jolie, also played a role in this story.
Nature has awarded the actress with such a beautiful lip shape that after her dizzying debut in cinema, many of the fair sex thought about correcting this part of the face. For another trend - expressive cheekbones, which can be obtained thanks to the removal of Bisha's lumps with subsequent augmentation with fillers - you can also say thanks to Angelina Jolie. Subsequently, many aspiring actresses and singers were equal to her, including the star of "Transformers" Megan Fox, who never hid that she began her career as an actress by transforming herself - she wanted to look like Angelina Jolie.
